My mum died today

Just that, she died today. I'm devastated. She was old and had been very ill but my god I miss her already. I can't believe my mum has gone.
I couldn't get there in time and she was alone and scared and it breaks my heart. I'm so sorry mum, I love you so much xxx

I’m very sorry @Loopyanna. The person dying doesn’t always want to put their family through the final moments.
Some people even wait until family are not there. So please don’t upset yourself thinking about the end. 💐

I'm so sorry. I don't care how old a person is, it really hurts to lose your mom.

@Loopyanna my lovely mum died a month ago, I miss her so much. Like yours she was very ill and I wasn't there when she died despite being with her most of the week. I think sometimes they want to die alone so as not to upset us. How lucky are we to have had such lovely mums

Sorry for your loss OP. My Mum died a few weeks ago and I wasn't there at the end. She died at 6 in the morning and we were asleep. We know the nurses were with her. I don't feel bad. She wouldn't have known and I doubt very much that she would have wanted us to see her take her last breath. I don't honestly think I would want that for my DC either. Be kind to yourself and think of the good stuff about her, not how she died.
