On the G&T as we speak

violet, OM involves teaching a group of subjects together, mimicking the primary school model. More info here. In my school, it combines DT, Art, History, Geography and PSHE and Languages- what that means for me as an art teacher is that I have to teach all of the above subjects, as well as trying to teach the other teachers my subject. It's a complete nightmare, and the depth of learning is limited due to the fact that the students are not being taught by subject specialists, but teachers who are teaching a subject they do not know and are winging it. They also get very bored of the same topic for half a term. Planning is a logistical nightmare, and I hate working from others' plans.
