A very long shot but does anybody know anything about a new nursery that is being built in Cheadle, from what I've heard it's near John Lewis?

I have seen it it is on the A34 just before you get to the roundabout for JL ... there is a new office block.... I drive past it every day think it is openening in September they are looking for staff don't know who owns it though

anchovies · 20/06/2005 09:53

Don't suppose you know what it's called mancmum? It's supposed to be a state of the art one that cost a fortune. I think the owner won business woman of the year and got a load of grants towards it?

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:20

Blimey. Fees? Sorry to be blunt.

katierocket · 20/06/2005 10:22

tinker ?

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:23

kr - fees for the nursery. Sorry, about vague message

katierocket · 20/06/2005 10:24

oh I see - you're asking what the fees are?
I thought you were saying "have you seen how high the fees are?"

homemama · 20/06/2005 10:25

Tinker, they wouldn't discuss fees over the phone. They said fees info would be in the pack!

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:25

Oops. Am typing quickly, scared the baby will wake up. Yes, does anyone know what the fees are? Out of interest.

katierocket · 20/06/2005 10:26

HA! that means they must be high!

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:26

Ah! Thanks. Just being nosey really.

Tinker · 20/06/2005 10:26

homemama · 20/06/2005 10:28

anchovies · 21/06/2005 09:17

Blimey!

How does this compare? Is this expensive? I ask because I've never done the nursery thing before and I haven't received any other packs yet to compare.
DH and I have made an app. to go see it but no point in paying just cause its the glossiest!

anchovies · 21/06/2005 10:03

Its almost double the price of others near us (stockport)! So yes pretty expensive!

Am going to see it anyway though, we only need two half sessions so not bad!

OP posts:
homemama · 21/06/2005 10:21

Thanks Anchovies. Maybe I shouldn't go and see it as DH thinks I'm an advertiser's dream! I'm already being swayed by the 'sensory theatre'
It will be difficult to get a proper feel of the staff though, without kids there.
Our appointment is Tue so I'll post back for everyone with details.

mancmum · 21/06/2005 10:23

same price as most in manchester or near me anyway!! Which nurseries are £400 a month in Stockport -- useful to know!!

anchovies · 21/06/2005 11:14

I'm going tuesday too!
