So all sitting round over dinner something came up about school and grandma said
'oh do you have to stand in the corner if your naughty?
dd2 says, no i'm never naughty, but if you are naughty she stamps on your hands or feet at carpet time.

dd2 is 5 she hadn't realised what she said was shocking she just carried on chatting away.
Later I asked her who she had done it 2 and she named several boys, I asked if it maybe was an accident and she said no she does it all the time

So what do I do? rang a friend who has ds in same class and she is going drop it in conversation with her ds and see if he says the same.

I really don't think dd would make it up but can't be 100 percent sure.

The teacher is known for being shouty.

dd2 is 5, and when she was naughty I recently said, "No Kinderpenguins (delicious creamy bars loved by german children) for a week!!"

DD went round telling people earnestly that she was not allowed to have lunch or supper because she had been naughty

So I wouldnt believe this story for an instant!

It's not just german children who love kinderpenguins! I've just had one for breakfast

The question is, are they penguins, or are they hippos?

We always have the penguins in our house!

They dont count as sweets

It would be really easy to stand on a child's hand accidentally on purpose. There really are some bad teachers out there, who have lost whatever it was that drew them to teaching, and who don't really care. As an aside, I wonder why we are accepting the labeling of children as naughty instead of labeling of the behaviour as acceptable or unacceptable.

I very nearly kicked a child in the face last week. Phone the police? Except that she was sitting on the carpet directly in front of my chair. I crossed my legs.

Easily done. Fortunately I missed!

my DS (6) told me his teacher makes naughty children stand outside in the rain, naked.
He was adamant, and very serious about it.

I did not even investigate this

kids....sigh
