The graduate premium has eroded and wage differentials compressed. Is this the socialist utopia you dreamed of?

That would make for an interesting poll.

I suspect most people would consider ‘people on benefits’ to include pensioners.

That's because most people don't know the difference between contributory benefits (entitlements) and means tested benefits.

Please do explain how I can pay extra to get more State Pension. That sounds great!

Not sure I fancy deferring it beyond my current SP age of 68 though…

I was given a choice between having a 30 years payments pension or paying to bring mine up to the new 35 years pension. £5000 for an extra £800 a year for someone with another 20 years life expectancy, no brainer.

You can also defer your start date to get paid more.

very sensible. I have 31years, so 4 left for full SP (assuming no big changes - and I’m not ruling that out!)
