Dear All,

Starting this thread to discuss with like-minded parents.My son gave 11+ 2026 exams today and found the paper to be very difficult across the board. I was not expecting it this hard especially when their sample paper was absolutely no where near hard. Is it just us ?

Let me know your thoughts.

Hi - my son said the critical thinking paper was particularly challenging and that all the students in his exam room agreed afterwards. He said the final few maths questions were hard too. Good luck, not sure when we hear back from the school.

@SeniorSchool26 i agree. My DS could not complete his last Maths Question and was very upset. The English paper had a comprehension and a poem along with SpAG.

At least it’s reassuring that they all found it difficult? It’s very hard not to be stressed when your child tells you it was very difficult and hard too to gauge how they’ve done. They’ve done the preparation and tried their best. Not much more we can ask of 10 year old boys. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Anyone received a response from school yet?

Nothing yet, not expecting anything till tomorrow / early next week to be honest

They did send an email yesterday about the invitations being sent in batches from this morning.Expect emails today at some point.

Cool, thank you for the update. We sat internationally so it may take a few days more depending on when the test centre sent back the test!

Does anyone know what is the ratio of students being interviewed to being offered acceptance letters?
Has everyone received the name of the interviewer?

Sorry I’ve no idea about the ratio of accepted students. I guess that varies year on year. Yes we know who the interviewer is. Lovely to know I think!

Did anyone get a separate email for academic ?

Which day is the music on? All getting very busy next week between various assessments!!
