Dear All,

Starting this thread to discuss with like-minded parents. My son gave 11+ 2026 exams today and found the paper to be very difficult across the board. I was not expecting it this hard especially when their sample paper was absolutely no where near hard. Is it just us ?

Let me know your thoughts.

Football, Rugby and Hockey are on the 20th according to our invite. Good luck to all. Interested as per above post any feedback on how the interviews have gone or what to expect if anyone has insight?

Dear All

We had our interview today.
the staff was lovely and welcoming.
we had opportunity to meet whitgift parents who did vouch for the school and its reputation.
In the interview process:My son was asked about what did he think about the theory and which sections did he do well in.
he was asked a couple of Maths questions ( though this is his strongest subject and apparently he did well ) .
He was asked about what his parents did.
What extracurricular activities he liked.
They asked him about why did he want to join whitgift school .
Plenty of generic discussions about himself and his story so far .

Parents interview:
We were told about how our DS had expressed his interest in sports and his favourite subjects. They said he is good in Maths and English and might need some more work in creative writing which was overall good but can get better.
Why did we choose whitgift

The interviewer mentioned about my sons expressing his involvement in my husbands app development project and how did that help the child
some questions pertaining to previous school and report.
It was more of discussion about the child and how he will thrive well in school both academically and extracurricular activities.
How pastoral support is provided to children to help balance academic with other activities. We did also speak about AI and use of it in school to assist children in future .

It was very good experience.

Did anyone receive anything regarding bursaries?

I came on here to ask the exact same question. We have not heard re bursary application being taken further as yet. Have you heard yet or know anything? Thanks @BeCyanJoker

11PlusKnuckles · 31/01/2026 15:37

When will I find out if I have been awarded a Bursary?
If you have applied for a 6th form entry bursary support, the admission team staff will contact you when they have reviewed the entrance exam results to inform you that they have shortlisted you for a bursary application. This will happen in early December. You will then receive a courtesy call from the JWF Bursary team to explain how to access your online bursary account to complete the bursary application. You will then find out about the place offer within 3 weeks. If you have applied for a year 6, year 7 or year 9 entry bursary, you will hear from the admissions team by the 2nd week of January and will receive your courtesy call within the last 2 weeks of January. You will then receive the place offer by mid-February.

Dexvi · 13/02/2026 08:52

I have received an email confirming admission .
Has anyone heard about scholarships ?

thanks

OP posts:
Rockinboppin · 13/02/2026 08:55

Oh no nothing for us yet!! Was it just an email?

Waiting2026 · 13/02/2026 08:56

Same. I think scholarships are usually in the same email, so most likely a straight full fee offer, but will wait a bit longer

Dexvi · 13/02/2026 09:00

Yes just an email and some form attachments for fees and offer acceptance or decline . Good luck everyone
