How much do you pay for your children’s after school club fees? I was paying £4 a session last term (3-5.45pm) and this term the price has gone up to £8 a session. I’m just intrigued to see how much others pay for after school clubs?

Are you meaning a ln activity run for a hour by the school or wrap around childcare?

£12.50 from 3.15- 5.45.
£4.50 from 3.15- 4.15

£12 from 3:15 to 6. Price includes a pretty decent tea although annoyingly 1 of my dds won't ever eat from the school kitchens. No real 'activities' as such, just a few toys dumped on tables and sometimes a craft if they're lucky.

Last term I was paying £18 3.15 to 6.. we tend to pick up at 5.
Managed to get him into the school run one for this year and it's £11.. but runs to 5.45

£4 was incredibly cheap, especially if it includes food.

Around here prices vary between £10-£14 depending on what time the club finishes.

A few schools run until 5.30pm, with a 5pm finish on a Friday, as this seems to be the least popular day

One school runs until 6pm.

Ours is £8 which seems cheaper than most around here which range from 10-15

To be honest £4 for almost 3 hours of care and presumably including a snack of some description or light tea seems almost criminally cheap.

Wrap around is £20 per session no matter whether DC is there for 30 minutes or 3 hours. By comparison yours sounds quite cheap!

Do you mean an activity club, or wraparound childcare?

After school club at my DD’s school
(run by an external provider) is £12.50 for 3.15 to 6pm, and includes a snack. The cost is the same whether you’re there for 30 minutes or the full session. They provide craft activities, toys, and the kids can go on the playground.

That’s soooo cheap!

The schools don’t run them here and its often an offsite location that do pick up. It’s £18 per day per child (central Scotland) that’s 3pm-6pm.

I mean wrap around care. I always appreciated just how cheap £4 was but i was shocked how it just doubled. But hearing how much others are paying i feel quite lucky in comparison. Neither of the prices include snacks/meals, just milk/juice. We have to send in snacks ourselves which i don’t mind because my son is a fussy eater.

Are you using tax free childcare to pay your fees? That will help. £8 is still cheap round where we are

its £9 for 325-545 but there’s no food provided and not like a programme of set activities. They mostly just run around the park and maybe do some colouring or something easy. My son likes it.

After school club (2hrs) £5.
From nursery age. (They are separated by age, nursery-y1, y2-y4, then y5-6.)

It's unusual for wrap around not to offer a snack, especially if they're open until 5.45pm. I guess it's just not possible when their prices are so cheap. Is it provided by the school (in house), or an outside company?

Ours is £3.75 3.30- 4.30 or £7.50 3.30-5.30. Includes a Snack and drink. Very cheap compared to everyone else by the sounds of it

Ours is run by the school in the school hall. It's £7 for 3.15-5pm. This includes a small snack.

£17 for 3-6.im amazed how cheap some of the others on here have been. I’d be biting hands off for less than £8.

Breakfast club 1 hour is £2

After school club is £3 per hour per child for up to 2 hours, includes a fruit snack and a drink but welcome to send your own snack in. You can also send in your own activities ect.
Local private run after school club is £12.85 per hour for up to 3 hours and includes a small dinner and they collect your child from their school.

Our local private school offers free wraparound care. Well, obviously it's not free, just "hidden" but does mean you are "overpaying" if you are a parent that doesn't use it.
