The BRIT School Reserve List

Does anyone have experience with The BRIT School reserve list? I found an 8-year-old thread on the topic, but I think things may have changed a lot since then? I believe there may be around 30 spots for MT and approximately 3 people on the reserve list - has that been your experience? And have you seen much, if any, movement of the reserve lists in recent years? My daughter called and asked what her position is on the list, and they said that they no longer number the positions. I would love to hear your experiences. Thank you.

Hi, I know at least 5 people including my daughter, so 6 now including you guys who are on the reserve list. I heard last year quite a few of the reserve list got into MT. However, knowing a couple of friends who got in this year and went to the induction day last month, said that everyone turned up except 1 and they were all very excited and couldn’t see any of them dropping out 😢 Are you in area?

Hi, my daughter is also on the reserve list for MT and we’re in the catchment area. I heard last year on a different thread that someone got accepted on results day. Which still means there is hope, as the kid’s results day is this Thursday. Hope this helps Xx . I’m just trying to figure out how many people are the reserve list. Keeping our fingers crossed 🤞.

Thank for your reply. I had called the school a few weeks ago to ask how many were on the reserve list, and there were 15 at that time. Best of luck to you!

We are also on the reserve list for musical theatre, in catchment area. It's so frustrating how there are no numbers to say how high up you are on reserve but fingers crossed!

Hi, just wanted ask has anyone looked at their child’s and seen the enrolment form, that needs to be completed. I just don’t want to get our hopes too high. ☺️

Hello, Turnblad759! I’m sorry, I don’t exactly understand the question. Has anyone looked at their child’s what? I’m not sure what enrolment form you’re asking about? Is this for KS4? Maybe s/he’s been accepted now - did they call you or email you? Fingers crossed!

@Sweeney23 so sorry, i meant applica account because we haven’t received any acceptance email but when we signed in to the brit school website an enrolment form popped up. I’ll contact the school to see if it was a mistake. Hopefully, she might get in. Fingers crossed 🤞.

@Millsy82 this is for 6th form and I emailed hopefully they’ll get back by Tuesday, seeing as Monday is a bank holiday.

Yeah, we're on reserve for ks4 mt. My child is so upset, she really wants to go and hates her gcse options at her current school but fingers crossed we hear something soon. Goodluck to everyone else as well!!

My daughter is the same! Her MT friend got in so it’s been hard for her. She seems to have accepted it now though but we’re still keeping everything crossed. Hopefully she will get a place for 6th form. They have given so many reserve places. Please keep me posted if you hear anything x

Hello, everyone just heard back from BRIT and turns out she is still on the reserve list and the enrolment form was just an admin error. Feeling a bit down but we still have hope a place will open.🥲
