Anyone else feeling nervous about the Kent test results tomorrow?

Yes! I know they said that the results are emailed/are available from 4pm, but I think I will be checking my emails every 5 minutes (I don't work on Wednesdays!).

Yeah I know of people who received theirs from late morning in previous years, so hopefully we won't be kept waiting too long!Yes there will definitely be lots of refreshing of emails!

Oh really.!!! Goodness me, that's thrown my head down working method out the window lol. I'll be checking all day now 😬

Oh crikey!! I wonder how they send them out (alphabetical order of name or perhaps area of Kent). I think I'm more nervous about it than my DC is!

I’m rubbish: I have just got up and checked emails. To be fair, I’m a weirdo that gets up before 6am anyway, and I always check emails first thing.

Don't forget to check junk/spam. We had our Bexley results in their a few years ago while we were refreshing the inbox!

Evening! My son got his results back and missed out by 10 marks. His 1st choice has always been Oakwood Park Grammar in Maidstone. I’m thinking of appealing as he achieved his results off his own back, no tutor and only completed about 3 practice papers. In addition to that, we both moved out of the family home in August due to his Dad’s mental abuse towards me. There’s been a lot going on but my little lad has missed out by 10 marks. Should I appeal to OPGS?

In your position I'd most definitely be appealing, no harm in doing so. Was the 10 marks overall or within one subject area. Worth a conversation with the headteacher for sure. Oh, and well down for walking away from a difficult relationship, I've also done this within the last year and it takes a brave person to make that decision! Much love xx

Most definitely challenge that, reasoning is a combined score and by far the trickiest of the three. Stand your ground, you've both had a lot to deal with. In the grand scheme of things he's done amazing! Get the headteachers backing and you'll get through on appeal.
