Prepaying fees

What kind of discount have people been offered for prepaying fees? I'd like to pay for the next 3 years up front as I reckon it will save us the 5% increase each year but also I was hoping for something off as well.

@jeanne16
Not surprised they laughed. The whole point of a successful negotiation is that there’s supposed to be something in it for both parties. OP seems to think a school which doesn’t need her/his business will give away thousands of pounds to her/him for no particular reason. Good luck with that OP.

I'm really not sure why people are being so aggressive? Lots of schools including places like Radley DO still publicly offer payment in advance schemes. I KNOW several families that have done this recently and successfully. I was just asking for any other experiences. But thanks for the sarcastic 'good luck'. Sheesh.

Don't do it.

Thingaling · 12/09/2021 21:43

a) Check your facts. Radley don’t offer what you are expecting to be given: no protection against fee increases.

b) you aren’t applying to Radley so what they do is irrelevant to the situation of the school you want to send your child to.

It makes no difference to me what you do but you seem very determined not to listen to the advice you’ve asked for.

@Thingaling But I haven't asked for advice have I? You seem determined that you're right and I'm wrong. Awesome. You win. I've not given all the details of our situation but I promise I'm not thick. People are making presumptions that are wrong but I'm not here to lay our financials bare. I'm just bloody asking what discounts others have gotten. So unhelpful when people do this on threads!
