This is why I have walked out of an open evening.

DaveCoachesgavemetheclap · 02/10/2019 06:16

Eh? Confused

KatherineJaneway · 02/10/2019 06:20

This what?

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 02/10/2019 06:26

Why is unacceptable?

Namechangeforthiscancershit · 02/10/2019 06:27

What even!

My message to try to make sense of yours made no sense. Back to bed!

TheCanterburyWhales · 02/10/2019 06:29

Is this a one word per post dripfeed?

OhamIreally · 02/10/2019 06:39

Sorry! Picture did not attach.

Essentially there was a drawer in a classroom at an open evening labelled:

Teachers Draw

I took a picture and thought I would share it here but it didn't attach. I was horrified. This was a secondary school.

I'm confused

tihsho · 02/10/2019 06:43

You walked out because of a spelling mistake?

user1474894224 · 02/10/2019 06:44

What was in the drawer? And what room was this in?

Lexplorer · 02/10/2019 06:45

I would assume this is an English teacher and a wit.

TheCanterburyWhales · 02/10/2019 06:46

Teachers probably do, sometimes.

Do they use commas where they are needed?

ChooChooItsAllAboutYou · 02/10/2019 06:46

What's wrong about a teachers draw?

tinytemper66 · 02/10/2019 06:48

Drawer!

tommyshaircut · 02/10/2019 06:59

I suspect the teacher was having a laugh

tommyshaircut · 02/10/2019 07:00

I know an English teacher who has this sort of thing all over her room and the kids have to point out the mistakes

Tonnerre · 02/10/2019 07:01

Well, it was both a spelling mistake and a grammar mistake, to be fair. I wouldn't walk out without checking who did the labels - do you know that, for instance, the teacher didn't give the job of making labels to a pupil and then didn't have the heart to correct what they'd done?

Mind you, I was pretty unimpressed the time I came across a poster unmistakably made by a teacher which had the message "Standing on the shoulder's of giant's".

TulipsTulipsTulips · 02/10/2019 07:01

Also there is no apostrophe Angry

ArthurtheCatsHumanSlave · 02/10/2019 11:01

You walked out!

Never have I seen an apostrophe on a label - some things just don't require them, and life's too short.

The lack of an "er" is more worrying, but more likely to be a pun. A quick look at the mugs in staff-rooms would probably give you a heart attack.

FilledSoda · 02/10/2019 11:24

Yikes !
Maybe it's a joke.

HoppingPavlova · 02/10/2019 11:29

I would do an internal eye roll. Walking out seems very dramatic.

Petrichor11 · 02/10/2019 11:29

If a label is more important to you than discussing your child’s progress at school then that’s your choice I guess Hmm

BarrenFieldofFucks · 02/10/2019 11:31

The loss is yours alone 🤷

BoomZahramay · 02/10/2019 11:34

I think if I were an English teacher, this is the kind of thing I'd do to make myself smile.
