id heard that the amount of passes at A to C was 59.2% but im not sure if that is the same as the amount of pupils achieving 5 A to C its all a bit confusing.

Spanna2 · 28/08/2004 17:40

It is the number of pupils achieving 5 or more A-C passes. Schools are judged on the number of pupils achieving 5 or more A-C in league tables.

ok Spanna2, thanks for that.

Hmmmmmm Languages don't 'need' to be harder than other subjects - my inner city comp has 53% overall a-c pass but french is 77% a-c - and yes EVERYONE does it - there are no exclusions for low ability (just 5 or 6 kids who never come who aren't entered.) It's just a shame so much language teaching is cr&p!

My DS1 woke up at ten came downstairs, had completely forgotten that it was results day!!!!
He's off to meet up with all his friends now and I'm waiting for the phone to ring! Still have a couple of finger nails left but not for much longer! Good luck all.
