Long hard day, long hard week

Just feel like having a whinge.

It has been a hell of a week. I'm stressed, over tired, aching all over, missing dh who is away for 3 weeks, so I am in sole charge of the kids.

This week I have had three after school meetings, staff meeting, meeting with parents adn social workers and a shed load of marking, books and course work.

And I'm fed up! Pissed off and knackered. I'm fed up with kids shouting at me, stoming out of classroom, sixthformers who are too lazy to get of their arses to work and cocky little kids who know nowt and arse around and parents who seem to think that education is a free form of child care, involving little or no input from them oir their flipping offspring

Thank you, this has been a public service whinge on behalf of Martiambishop!

The gameboys were thankfully 'found' in dds room. We wioll be using them next when we go up to Edinburgh in trhe train, I'm putting them away so they don't get lost.

In case I forget, remind me they are in my bedside drawer, will you??

trying to cheer us up Iota
I've had a hard week at school too, today felt like a week-assembly last thing friday pm, it drags!
We've got the same prob as you Roisin-chinese whispers causes so many probs

Littlefish · 03/02/2006 19:17

Poor you MB - sounds like a truly crap week. I completely sympathise. My dh is away on a boy's holiday. I've had to teach for 3 days, plus after school meetings, plus look after dd. Parent's evenings next week. AAAAAAAAARGH.
BTW - I shout across the playground!

Blandmum · 03/02/2006 19:19

I would too!

FGS, upset and insulted because someone shouted across the yard

I give up sometimes.

I'm repeating my earlier qu:
will you be watching the game tomorrow? dh will be rooting for Wales

roisin · 03/02/2006 19:22

I'm really tired. We've had a three really heavy weeks of cover, and I've just heard that another local secondary has got about 25% of its students off with a virus; and presumably a similar proportion of staff. Seems fairly inevitable it will hit our school next week - Great!

Tortington · 03/02/2006 19:27

if your really lucky they will all get ill and close the school

Blandmum · 03/02/2006 19:27

No, I'll be taking the kids for a swim. I get too worked up watching rugby!

I'm feeling knackered and achy too....there is a virus doing the rounds with us. Loads of the kids are off

OP posts:
iota · 03/02/2006 19:30

dh will be insufferable if Wales win - I have to keep winding him up that the kids are English

nikkie · 03/02/2006 19:42

Cumbria doesn't close schools!
My dds school has had about 1/2 kids off so there is a lot of bugs around here we've not had a lot off -just the staff!
