Just curious as to how good an indicator it is to future prospects.

So: do you have a GCSE or O Level equivalent to the EBacc?

did you do A levels

did you go to university

I think Michael Gove has got a serious case of the rose coloured specs...

  1. Yes
  2. No - I did the International Baccalaureate not A Levels
  3. Yes
Madsometimes · 25/01/2011 18:59

No - did history, French, maths, English x2, but only biology. I did study chemistry in the lower 6th, but this would not count because e bacc is for Y11.

Yes.

Yes. Studied microbiology at university and always regretted not doing more sciences at school because I had to catch up in my own time. I did get a 2i though.

Yes, Yes, Yes

IndigoBell · 26/01/2011 12:32

No, No, Yes

I have a really good career - that in no way entails being able to speak a foreign language....

Hatterbox · 26/01/2011 15:12

Me - Yes, yes, yes

DH - Yes, yes, yes

duchesse · 26/01/2011 15:26

Yes, yes and yes

My two older DC have as well, and DC3 will also choose Ebacc type options.

Bramshott · 26/01/2011 15:33

Me - Yes, Yes, Yes
DH - No, Yes, Yes

Bramshott · 26/01/2011 15:34

Actually, that might be a lie re DH - I think he has Spanish GCSE - was thinking that it was just French & German for the EB, but that's not right is it?

basildonbond · 26/01/2011 15:58

yes, yes and yes

Horton · 26/01/2011 17:47

No, yes and yes. And I would have been very ill-served by the EBac as I would have had to do a subject I was crap at instead of one I was good at.

DH would be yes, no and no. But he earns four times what I do.
