Nappies leaking constantly

Hi everyone

I'm using the Bambino Mio Solo nappies for my 6 month old baby and I'm at my wits end because they're constantly leaking. I barely get 2 hours of wear before all her clothes and soaked in wee. Im using them on the smallest and sometimes middle setting - but neither makes any difference. I've invested a small fortune in these nappies, anyone got any ideas? I don't really want to use the booster in the daytime as that would make the nappy even more impossibly huge...

I'm about to give up this whole eco friendly journey 😫 Anyone else got the same problem!?

@BearBibble not laugh AT you btw, I'm just laughing because I identify with your situation! Yesterday and todays attempt at just fitting the nappy properly in the leg creases seem to work!! 😅

Hi, not sure if someone had already shared the link as I haven't read the whole thread but you can find sandys nappies and boosters here along with motherease airflow wraps.

I used totbots bamboozle nappies with sandys booster at night with the motherease wraps (rikki then airflow as baby got bigger) and I never had any problems. In the day I found the totbots easy fit and close pop in nappies good. I think it is all a bit trial and error but I am sure you will find the right nappy system that works for you and baby with all the advice you are getting on here. Good luck!

Just another update: nappies are still going strong after a simple adjustment around the leg creases. This late morning's nappy was on from 11:00-15:10 and I changed it and no leaks. I've ordered boosters for nighttime and some fleece liners to keep her bottom a bit drier. Hopefully it'll all work out well from now! 😃

Ah glad you’ve seen some improvement. Haven’t read the whole thread but in case it hasn’t been mentioned - mirofibre is like a sponge - absorbs quickly but also leaks when squished. So if your baby is sitting on a wet bit of microfibre, it will squish out. Pair with a bamboo or similar slow-absorbing booster to soak up what squishes out of the fast-absorbing microfibre.

Personally this time round I’m using a mix of totsbots easyfits and alvababy pocket. Also like the cheeky wipes nappy, bought one and never bought another but I should do!

Enjoy!

Yet another shout out for the Totsbots Bamboozle stretch nappies, for the night times. The ONLY nappy we have ever tried that reliably lasts through the night (12hrs) without leaking, better than the disposable nappies. Total godsend. We tried loads from nappy library before investing in these.

You can use them in combination with other Totsbots for daytime, which are also bomb proof. But the biggest thing is finding a nappy that lasts the night...

They do trial kits if you want to try first:
