ebay listing help - buyer wants 30% refund

even though listing v clearly states no refund

item was water damaged nokia phone i stated it doesnt work and was water damaged several times

he now says item not as described because his spare battery does not work in it

he wants £40 back even though i put no refunds and sold as seen

have 100 % feedback and cannot be bothered with dispute etc

please?

he comes back saying HIS battery wont work in it?

If thats what your saying... i'd say no refund.

If you are confident in your ad then I would just keep referring him to that and say sorry. Not sure if eBay offer any help/advice to sellers on this type of thing?. Sounds like the guy is being a complete twat.

yes V thats what im saying i said loads it wont work, wont charge, new battery may not work, repair needed etc

and he was in italy and didnt ask for postage until after bidding

tell him to bugger off. you were clear it wouldnt work... you didnt guarantee that his battery would work in it.

he has NO grounds for getting a refund at all - you sold the item as faulty and clearly stated no refunds.

i wonder if that battery bit was misleading? dh listed it so i wasnt there to see.

tell him to pay for return postage and you'll do full refund minus postage. Doubt he'll shell out. If he did you could offer underbidder the item?

postage was £10 he may do that....

underbidder offered 125, seller paid 127...not much diff i guess but thats alot of money to loose out on isnt it?

DH has spent the money on a flight to Norway, he is there today. Item was bought over a week ago

You stated it was faulty & water damaged so you've covered yourself.

I would reply saying as stated in your listing you will not offer a refund as tou stated it was a faulty item.

Let him open a dispute if he wants - I honestly cannot see PP letting him win that one!

Just let him open one - I would say it's highly unlikely they would say you have to refund as you clearly stated it was faulty!

yes, i thought that too about the partial refund. i think he knows that he's not really due one which is why he asked for only part of the money

he said in his message that someone has quoted him 73 GBP to fix so he wants 40GBP back...errrr i told you it was faulty i am not paying the repair bill!!
