I 'Won' a pair of Wedges at the beginning of the month. The Item ended in the middle of the night, entered my maximum bid and won. Woke up to a message saying 'Pay now please' & i did as i usually pay straight away. Anyway, a week passed and i hadn't received a dispatch message. When enquiring about this i was told she was waiting for the money to transfer to her bank account before she paid for the postage. Fair enough.

Left it another week and contacted her again, this time i was told she had a bad back and couldn't post the item. I asked her for a refund, and was told she had given the money to her daughter as they were her shoes. I replied saying i was out of pocket and would like the item if she is not willing to give me my money back. She replied telling me i was a nasty piece of work.

I opened a case with eBay and checked her feedback all the selling ones were negative, with people saying they had paid for an Item and never received.
On her 'Profile' page the same pair of shoes were listed with 2 days left to go, listing them a week ago.

She has now contacted me saying she will refund me tomorrow but she doesnt know how to so i will probably not get my money back.

Scam? I think so.

I have to wait till the end of the month before i can send the case for eBay to decide.

I hate sellers like that, i sell on eBay myself all the time. Am a very honest seller and 9/10 post the next day always have good communication, ect.

Angry sorry, just a bit of a rant! Do any of you buy many things on eBay?

I go through spells of buying things from ebay and have (touch wood) not come across many problems. I try to remember to check sellers' feedback before bidding though and you can often spot a chancer (or terminally disorganised person) that way.

Did you pay via PayPal? I think they can get the money back for you quite a time after the sale.

KateSpade · 21/06/2012 20:30

Yes, i think so. Which im not sure how to do, i shall wait if she does refund me tomorrow!

I think if she doesn't pay tomorrow as promised you are able to 'escalate the claim' on your eBay dispute. eBay will then look at the matter and make their decision. They usually decide in favour of the buyer so you should get your money back. I hope this seller is banned from eBay - I don't really know how they can still keep trading scamming if a lot of people are reporting them.

KateSpade · 24/06/2012 19:39

Its frustrating, as i wouldnt have bid on the item unless i wanted them, and she re-listed them anyway. So looking at it now, it looks like it is a scam.

I can't escalate the claim till 28th. Ebay buying is quite confusing at times!

Give us a link to the shoes. I'd love to put a good bid in then not pay her!

keepthechangeyoufilthyanimal · 25/06/2012 17:05

oooh yes, link the shoes and we'll all bid on them and not pay! (tee hee hee - evil grin)
Open a case with ebay ASAP if you haven't already, and escalate it as soon as you can.
Ebay/Paypal will 100% side with you as a buyer - they always do. (although not sure if that only applies if you have paid through paypal?)
She sounds like a right arse - I'd leave her really bad feedback after you get a refund. She can only leave you positive feedback as a buyer so your feedback score wont go down, but hers will - and hopefully put other people off buying from her I hate people like this - why dont ebay just ban them when they are clearly doing the same thing over and over?!

KateSpade · 25/06/2012 22:10

Link to the seller and all her items

The particular one i bid and she re-listed ended. On her feedback profile their are two people saying she did the same thing

  1. Re-sold item after I paid and didn't receive the shoes nor money back.BIG NEG!!

  2. TERRIBLE EBAYER - contacted me to pester for payment then never sent the item!

Fucks sake i really want my money back, I can escalate it on the 28th, so i will be doing it straight away. I paid by Paypal aswell, so fingers crossed. I will send her another message saying GIVE ME MA MONEY BITCH! Wink

Why are you using the Ebay Dispute route instead of Paypal Dispute route? (Just curious).

Is it because the ebay route does not first demand you return the item before being refunded, as paypal does?

KateSpade · 25/06/2012 23:46

How could i return the Item when It hasn't even been sent to me?

& I did it Via ebay, because i don't really know how to do it Via Paypal?

fergoose · 26/06/2012 11:15

Isn't your seller just relisting the same items all the time? Take comfort that she will have listing and final value fees every time.

fergoose · 26/06/2012 11:16

Oh and hopefully another negative and case against her will restrict her account so she can't continue in the same vein.

lisaro · 26/06/2012 17:38

ooo What a thieving skank! May have a bid and some fun!!!

4lbsOfShiteInA2lbBag · 26/06/2012 17:49

Wouldn't it be awful if lots of people bid one of her items up to a ridiculous amount and then didn't pay. Not that I would endorse or condone such behaviour.... Wink

KateSpade · 26/06/2012 22:08

That would be terrible Wink.....

I know, i was really looking forward to those shoes aswell. I hope i get my money back & I will leave her negative feedback.

Message upon message have been sent but no reply. GRRR!

Thankyou for the replies! Hopefully soon i will be posting saying I've got my money back!

I've just looked at her items and she's got some Stuart Weitzman pink shoes for sale, but they appear to have a Dolcis label in them Hmm

fuzzpig · 27/06/2012 10:12

We buy/sell on eBay quite a lot. Haven't had any terrible experiences but having read about many like this I now make a point of looking at feedback comments before deciding if I will buy or not.

fuzzpig · 27/06/2012 10:12

I followed the link but it came up as "0 items"?

Iwannamovenow · 27/06/2012 10:25

I may or may not have accidentally bid on one of her items whilst on an old ebay account that I don't use any more... whoops!

I hate people getting ripped off on there Angry

Jasperkins · 27/06/2012 15:32

wow, just looked at her feedback and all the negative feedbacks are for items she currently has listed! may have just sent her an arsey message

KateSpade · 27/06/2012 15:36

Ive just clicked on the link FuzzPig and It came up with 8 Items for sale. The shoes (That i originally bid on) she re-listed have ended. Her user name is bashy42.

Good Guys! She deserves it. Nasty Twunt!

OP posts:
fuzzpig · 27/06/2012 15:52

Will have a search under that name.
Jasper that's really shocking, how does anyone get away with it?!

fuzzpig · 27/06/2012 15:56

Had a look now, it shows how important it is to read feedback comments. As it looks like her feedback is ok at over 90% but then looking at it all the positives are from sellers not buyers. It's easy to get a high rating if you buy lots.

I really hope you get it sorted out!

AngelWreakinHavoc · 28/06/2012 11:38

I think this is terrible and I would be emailing ebay asking them to look into her selling activity.

Just out of curiousity did You not check her feedback before bidding? Checking feedback is something I do automatically before bidding on anything.

KateSpade · 28/06/2012 21:11

No, i didn't check her feedback, which i know was stupid. I usually sell things Via ebay. Which i really enjoy I got a message from support saying They have found in my Favour and it has been credited to my account. Logged in and their isn't anything their. So i'm not sure about that, but have contacted customer services.

Lesson: Always check feedback!

OP posts:
fuzzpig · 28/06/2012 21:39

TBF you wouldn't really expect someone to be that crap would you. One would hope they'd have been banned by now?! Anyway you will know next time. I expect the credit is just taking a while to reach your account so as ebay have said they've found in your favour I wouldn't worry.
