I have seen a thread for October babies but I wanted to start one with people I can relate to!

I'm 5.5 weeks, donor cycle and I'm 46 years old!

I'm hoping there's more like me on here? I've had 3mmc 3 chemical, 8 rounds ivf, 4 with donor eggs. I'm tired! Now I'm pregnant and anxious that it's all gonna go wrong.

I had hcg done 14dp5dt and ut was 7640!! I should be happy, but dr google wont let me 😂

@bluebella2 hoping all is well. I had some bleeding around the same stage and things worked out but I remember it was terrifying.

@Annie1306 different areas do things differently. Most have a self-referral form to the local maternity services but a few are still accessed via the GP. Look up your local NHS Trust and go from there. There aren’t many scans, I found it reassuring to get some private scans as the pregnancy progressed.

Annie1306 · 11/03/2025 16:35

@bluebella2 , I hope all is okay. Keep us posted!

@daisypizza , thank you! I will check out on the NHS website.

We had our first scan today at 6 weeks 6 days. We saw the tiny bean and the heartbeat !! ❤️❤️ 🤞

bluebella2 · 11/03/2025 20:30

@daisypizza @Annie1306 I had a scan and both are still ok! They couldn't see where the bleed is coming from. So hopefully it will be ok. I'm still waiting to be assigned a midwife though! Apparently I need a twin midwife!

@bluebella2 I'm feeling really excited thanks. Getting meds delivered tomorrow then hoping to start stims end of March AF due 25th

Annie1306 · 14/03/2025 21:10

Thank you @bluebella2 !! How do you feel? Did you hear from Midwife yet? I have my first appointment on 20th March. I have suffering from bad hay-fever and sneeze like 100 times a day !! I tried for few days but it didn't improve so had to call my GP who prescribed me Piriton and asked me to take least dosage which I am now taking.

Hi everyone! My due date is 27 Nov but I was hoping you’d allow me to join this thread.
I’m 43 and got my BFP this weekend following our first round of DE IVF.
Congratulations to each of you on your pregnancies. 💕

Mirren22 · 16/03/2025 15:59

Oh I have been looking at GCRM @bluebella2initially going to try IUI. Also considering Denmark but the timing / travel is a little more planning. Can I ask please how you have found the clinic? And whether you considered any other Glasgow clinics?

bluebella2 · 16/03/2025 22:14

Hey all... how is everyone? I've been so tired recently, and nauseous most of today 🙃 but I'll take that as a good thing.

@Annie1306 I finally got an appointment, I have a scan next Friday with EPAC and the midwife is Sunday! It's the enhanced care team so I'm not sure what that means yet.

@LiveLaughL0ve congratulations ☺️ that's fantastic news! How are you feeling? Was this weekend your official test date? Asking as I was a serial tester 😂

@Mirren22 I went with GCRM because it was convenient for me, they have a satellite clinic near to where we live so it meant I didn't need as much time off. Overall they were good, but I felt like I had to chase for responses because they were so busy! But other than that it suited me if that makes sense

@bluebella2 thanks! My official test date isn’t until Sunday 🫣 😂 I wasn’t expecting a BFP so early!
I’m mostly just feeling tired at the moment.

Nausea is tough. I’ve had that with my other pregnancies. It can be really debilitating. Are you taking anything to try and help?

bluebella2 · 17/03/2025 18:42

@LiveLaughL0ve well no one can blame you for testing! I tested from day 3 😂 that's really good news.

I've not taken anything yet, I hope it doesn't get any worse! I'm terrible with sickness 🤣

@bluebella2thanks and congratulations! Hope you start to feel better soon. I am going to look into this clinic, what put me off was another clinic said they couldn’t guarantee treatment at ovulation time and it was a 3 month wait for an initial
consultation. Whereas the EU clinics are so accommodating but my ovulation went from clockwork every month to sporadic recently and the thought of waiting it out staying in a hotel abroad led me to think it is maybe just as well paying the extra (although close to three times as much). I am 38 so feeling very much like every month is my last to conceive

bluebella2 · 22/03/2025 07:44

I had my reassurance scan after my bleeding. Both twins are looking good and measuring 9w2 exactly 🥰
