Just that really. Separate bedrooms/sleeping arrangements, and I’ll do necessary is respect of joint bank account…appointment this week to have proper separation agreement drawn up. What else do I need to consider?

Any positive (or indeed negative) stories anyone is prepared to share?

First full week almost over . It’s been, odd. Have let DS know (he’s not Hs), he’s been incredibly supportive. Got own bank account set up and in process of getting everything moved over…can’t fully close joint account until I get a payment that’s due at end of the month (too late to change details with issuer)…most bills due tomorrow so can change DD/SO once they’ve gone for March.

Budget wise, it’ll be tight but doable. Appt re separation agreement on Tuesday.

How is everyone else doing?

Got my days entirely wrong and solicitor called me today…bit unprepared but think I remembered everything I wanted to chat through. We’re classed as a short marriage, house is premarital and in my sole name, likewise no contributions to my pension since before we met…sol confident she can argue clean break for us both. Feel a bit more comforted by that.

@Mum2Fergus Op that is encouraging! I really hope this turns out to be the case and the process goes smoothly for you. Best of luck!
