I walked out and he’s moved on already

I’ve been in a long relationship and the last 6 years was lack lustre. I’ve eventually moved out and my best friend couldn’t wait to tell me he’s already moved on and been having sex. He wanted me to stay. I was pleased to leave but I’m amazed that he’s moved on so soon. Why do I feel angry.

He's trying to repair a bruised ego. They can't have much respect for eachother having sex so soon. Totally understand how you're feeling though but don't waste anymore energy thinking about him. The thing that give you the pick will still be there.

He was still telling me he loved me. Sadly I hadn’t felt the same as his actions didn’t match that.
