Diabetic Ketoacidosis

I have a feeling my partner is heading for Diabetic Ketoacidosis . He has lost a lot of weight for no reason. regularly his bloods are 24 + ( sorry don't use the new reading), blurred vision, extreme tiredness, feeling sick, thirsty. Has stopped taking his medication for months. I feel 24 is excessively high but he seems unconcerned. Am I right to be worried.

Wont you do sound rather judgemental, I think the NHS is full of people who make bad choices, over eating, smoking, drinking are you saying none of these people deserve to be treated for a service they have paid for. For the record we are not on the UK so will not be using it anyway. Just thought I would say

Jardiance can mask the extent of high sugar levels in dka and remains in the system even if he stopped taking it. Has he got other side effects from poorly controlled diabetes?

My child went into DKA, he was a day off falling into a coma and dying.
Your husband is being reckless, do you have a ketone monitor? You need to get a number of his ketones if it's above 1.6 he needs to get himself to hostipal immediately.

LIZS he has not taken Jardiance for over 6 months now. Yes extreme thirst, tiredness etc
MeMyCatsAndMyBooks I am very sorry to hear about your child I hope they are ok now.. I agree he is being totally reckless. Each day I ask him to use my BC monitor but often refuses as "he knows its going to be 24", crazy.
