  1. What is your team?
  1. What would be your preferred final out of the semi-finalists Chelsea-Barcelona, and Arsenal-Manchester United?
  1. Which team would you rather see win the whole thing, and why?

The Guardian are running a poll about Manuel Almunia playing for England.

'Tis introduced thusly:

"Arsenal's Spanish goalkeeper could become a British citizen before the 2010 World Cup. After his heroics on Wednesday, should Fabio Capello call him up?"

At Arsenal, we do sing, "England's Number One" at him already. (although as a British citizen presumably he could also play for Scotland, NI or Wales).

He was great on Wednesday, and has been all season, really. Would any of you be happy to see him play for England?

Well, just off to the Arsenal for tonight's game.

Not confident about the overall result - we have to score two more than ManUre's result on the night, to get to the final.

But as my colleagues tell me, miracles can happen!

Oh, that was brutal.

And with our fans deserting the cause with half an hour left to play!

Not my section though. The only ones to continue singing the whole game, right to the end.

AND we applauded the better team off the pitch at the end.

Going to a Chelski pub tonight to cheer on Thierry Henry and Barcelona.

there are fewer sights in life to gladden the heart more than a miserable gooner.. 'Cept maybe a miserable scouser??

sorry PadDad, you're right, it was merciless.

Mamazon · 06/05/2009 20:38

Im a Gooner and proud to be so.
We were outplayed last night. it pains me to say it but its true.

im watching the chelski/ barca game now. looks like it'll be an all english final which is great for British football.

tbh i don't think i can actually choose which i'd rather win.

Pan · 06/05/2009 21:17

the dream now is to have a Barca goal in the last minutes, and have them with half their team missing forthe final....too much to hope for??

PortoPandemico · 06/05/2009 21:23

Yey! Here's to an all English final. DH was very happy with last nights result and has sent the invite out for the final. It was carnage last year. I ended up sick, and dd never made it to school. The landlord decided to pay an impromptu visit as "the car was outside" and the place looked like a bomb had hit it with bottles and cans all over the place. I will be booking a day's holiday this year.

Mamazon · 06/05/2009 21:26

My dream is that Barca get a last minute sneaky shot in and go through with the away goal.

then hammer united 5-0 in the final

Pan · 06/05/2009 21:36

YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

Mamazon · 06/05/2009 21:37

GGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

OMG!!!! my dreams come true i cannot believe it.

PortoPandemico · 06/05/2009 21:40

Ooh it's so exciting! Do you think Henry will be better by the final? I have a thing about him! Once at Old Trafford I stopped watching the play to watch him warming up....

PortoPandemico · 06/05/2009 21:42

I feel EVER so sorry for Chelsea I must admit. Let's hope for a repeat of last year now. Minus the god awful hangover.
