  1. What is your team?
  1. What would be your preferred final out of the semi-finalists Chelsea-Barcelona, and Arsenal-Manchester United?
  1. Which team would you rather see win the whole thing, and why?

  1. Manchester United
  1. Manchester United v Barcelona

3.Manchester United due to them being my team, and we have already done Chelsea in a final, so that would just be same old.

PadDad · 29/04/2009 08:34

So I'm the only one who wants Arsenal to win?

  1. Arsenal
  1. Arsenal v Chelsea (not sure who we'd find easier to beat, actually, but Barcelona are a better team than Chelsea and might out-score us in an open game).
  1. Arsenal to win the Champions League for the first time. Paris in 2006 was a disappointment.

Can another mum sneak in??

1 - Chelsea

2 - Chelsea vs Arsenal (I do NOT want a repeat of last years final )

3 - Chelsea cos I have supported them for 25 years now and it is about time!!

JustineMumsnet · 29/04/2009 10:23
  1. Liverpool
  2. Arsenal-Barcelona
  3. Arsenal because my kids are Gooners (if not then I'd go for Barca cos We've Won it Five Times, We've won it five tye-eye-imes, in Istanbul-uh-ul, We won it five times and we don't want any other English clubs getting too close to us.)
GentleOtter · 29/04/2009 10:25

Ross County.......

Lizzylou · 29/04/2009 10:27
  1. None of them really, but prefer Man Utd and have done since the Lee Sharpe days
  1. Man Utd v Barcelona
  1. Man Utd, not keen on Chelsea or Arsenal and would prefer an English club to win.
harleyd · 29/04/2009 10:29

lol justinefootiehooliganmumsnet

TigerFeet · 29/04/2009 10:30

Blackpool

Chelsea v Arsenal

Arsenal - FIL has put money on them to win and usually slings a few quid our way if he gets a win

DadInsteadofMum · 29/04/2009 11:08

1 Southend

2 Don't care - Southend aren't in the semi-finals so not watching it.

3 Southend but it hasn't going to happen this year (or next, or the one after, in fact I think if I have my dates correct I have high hopes for 2013 - but that is the life of a Southend supporter, a life of high hopes and not much else).

PadDad · 29/04/2009 14:34

Changed my mind: I'd prefer a final of Arsenal Barcelona.

Like Kayzr, I would like revenge for the 2006 final, but if we had to lose I'd prefer to lose to Barca than Chavski.

It's more likely to be a better game, and I'm more likely to enjoy the game. Whereas playing Chavski, I'd be more tense during the game, whether we were ahead, behind, or level.

Just have to get to the final now! Hope we can do it tonight. Gutted that Arshavin won't be playing for us.

paddad, i love your enthusiasm
and much as i would like to see utd get hammered tonite, it will be sweeter to see chelsea do it in the final

Arsenal of course! DHs glum face for a month afetr 2006 was too much to bear - and he will go to Rome and watch it (and get me a nice pressie (new handbag I hope) if they win!)

PadDad · 29/04/2009 17:05

Harleyd, I remember you from that other thread we were on.

Hope everything's still going well for you.

(This hope, naturally, does not include next Wednesday night, nor 27th May in Rome.)
