Your fave classic kids telly theme tune?

Mine was always Ulysses.

another toe-tapper but probably not strictly a children's show so maybe doesn't count...

EricL · 31/08/2007 10:13

Yeah - it's amazing what effort some people put into these things nowadays. Someone has cut and pasted loads of old-school cartoon characters into a film that has things such as violence, drug use and sex into it. It must have taken them weeks to get it right.

Very rude and childish - but extremely funny nonetheless.

DaDaDa · 31/08/2007 10:43

The Roobarb theme is demented. I wonder how they did it? wanders off to google Ah Johnny Hawksworth - theme tune genius.

This was a good 'un Mr Benn

DrDaddy · 31/08/2007 10:51

I watched the Rhoobarb theme tune about 3 times in a row last night and pmsl at it each time. Felt like a kid again. Wonderful.
I liked Mr Benn too.
How about Magic E from Look & Read, "Kit becomes Kite with me, Pip becomes Pipe with me, I'm magic magic E!" Class.

Hang on... isn't that Katie Melua's new single?!

Ahhh serendipity www.mumsnet.com/Talk/1375/379297?stamp=070831103213

harleyd · 31/08/2007 10:57

oi dadada you not got over this obsession with the wombles yet?
lol

DaDaDa · 31/08/2007 10:57

I used to hate Champion the Wonder Horse. Revel (the dog) used to do all the work and never got any credit; the bloody horse would just rear up and whinny and get all the acclaim. What's so wonderful about that?

DaDaDa · 31/08/2007 10:59

No way harley, I'm seriously considering getting a greatest hits for the car this weekend!

Pipkins: Terrifying

Words and Pictures Less Terrifying

I'll stop now.

harleyd · 31/08/2007 11:11

DrDaddy · 31/08/2007 11:12

DDD - the kid across the road from me was absolutely terrified of Hartley Hare on Pipkins...

DrDaddy · 31/08/2007 11:16

harleyd - just checked dadadad's profile. he and i are the same age (35), so i was watching this stuff circa 1975 onwards

harleyd · 31/08/2007 11:17

totaleclipse · 31/08/2007 11:18

EricL · 31/08/2007 11:19

So glad fraggle rock has come back

DaDaDa · 31/08/2007 11:22

You keep on bragging about that harley!

I was frightened of Hartley Hare too - mangy thing. Then again, I was frightened of Emily ('but Emily loved him') from Bagpuss and the inside of the hoover so I was clearly disturbed.

totaleclipse · 31/08/2007 11:24

I loved Ulysses!

Also loved Terrahawks & Trap Door.

A match made in heaven?

I bought the complete Trap Door collection on dvd a couple of months ago & didn't even bother to pretend it was for the DCs

totaleclipse · 31/08/2007 11:27

button moon

GreebosWhiskers · 31/08/2007 11:28

totaleclipse - you beat me to it!

Dangermouse was fab - I remember having the telly on on mute years ago & seeing DM come on. Cue a frantic scrabble to find the remote & when I got the sound on it was in bloody Gaelic!

EricL · 31/08/2007 11:30

Greatest American Hero
