What look should we go for in the men's bit? The old gentlemen's club look with the green leather chairs, loads of books and papers and a thick fog everywhere? How about modern black leather and chrome furniture and white everything else? How about the garden shed look with tools, things soaking in oil and hidden porn?

What's a Gym? Do you mean Bar?

cestlavie · 24/01/2011 14:27

Bloody hell boys, is this for the mens room or a spa?

I can see virtually no references to 60" plasma televisions running 24 hour loops of:

  1. England v Australia, Rugby World Cup final 2003
  2. England v Holland, Euro Championships 1996
  3. Ashes 2005 and 2009
  4. Aston Villa v Bayern Munich, 1982

Presumably that's what would be in the feminist room as well? Wink

BeenBeta · 24/01/2011 14:44

How about some themed rooms - named after famous male occupants they were associated with?.

George Bush Oval Office - to hide from the wife and DCs.

Elvis Presley Jungle Room - nice faux fur and shag pile.

Hugh Heffner Bedroom - that bed fits 7 people allegedly.

Captain James T Kirk Video Games Room - is that Truckulente in the waistcoat and tash?

Truckulente · 24/01/2011 16:32

Isn't he dead?

All it needs is a bar, a curry room and a big TV with Sky Sports. And posters of Andy Gray and Richard Keys.

Perhaps with some posters ' Women know your place' and 'Sport, it's not for girls'

We should call it the Male Stereotype room.

eeore · 26/01/2011 21:11

Can we have a table to play wargames?

Truckulente · 27/01/2011 14:14

I used to be a D&D player when I was younger, my I was a geek.

Pan · 29/01/2011 21:11

BB - so many new rooms!! Excellent! And the Male Stereotype room idea - admire the twisted irony, trucky.Smile.

In fact this is beginnig to look so good and well-appointed I am thinking of foreswearing all other threads on MN and pontificating engaging in all debates soley from these hallowed walls.
I think we already have a grossly large plasma in here already, though the continuous loop idea will need setting up.

bean bags. Hmm...in loud, primary colours. For falling back in and not being able to get up from again. Well. I am sure we can find a corner for these. We do try to cater for all tastes, no matter who masochistic..

Pan · 29/01/2011 21:13

or *how" masochistic....

do you all think we could ban all emocion bollocks? I see that UD rarely employs them, and I feel..well.. a bit of a girly using them.

Pan · 29/01/2011 21:14

sorry eeeore - war games table would be fine. Is it a game you can play on your own, though?

eeore · 29/01/2011 21:23

I'm sure I'll find someone to play soldiers with.

Pan · 29/01/2011 21:28

sure you will! Was just being a bit playful.

Truckulente · 29/01/2011 21:41

I don't use emoticons, I'm too manly.

eeore · 29/01/2011 22:22

that's it truckulente, stiff upper lip..

BelfastBloke · 30/01/2011 07:10

I believe I've mocked BeenBeta on other threads for being the only man on MN who employs emoticons.

He wasn't fazed, though. Maybe he's comfortable in his own skin.

Either that or he's a girl pretending to be a man for all the extra attention. But then, aren't most of us?

Pan · 04/02/2011 19:18

ok. You've outed me. Can't keep up the pretense anymore. I am really a teenage hairdresser from Huddersfield.
