I am seriously excited about this but might not be able to make it on his only London date

was hoping he would play Latitude festival but seems unlikely

Interesting that his website says tickets foranc "on sale soon" when they are already on sale through agencies

WendyWeber · 14/03/2008 23:04

"foranc" = "for Manc" (I hit delete by mistake )

SleepIsForTheWeak · 14/03/2008 23:13

would looooooooove to go but am away
Mind you, if I HAD to choose between Leonard Cohen and a trpoical island I miiiiight just chose the island!

But am slightly gutted I love him

Tinker · 14/03/2008 23:15

I got mine this morning as well!

monkeytrousers · 14/03/2008 23:22

OP posts:
Tinker · 14/03/2008 23:28

Manchester - 20th. Am shocked at how much I paid but just had to go. I assume it'll be his last tour

monkeytrousers · 14/03/2008 23:38

Yeah, probably. He has lost his voice years ago too, will basically be speaking the songs, but he has always had great backing. Maybe Anjani will be there??

Where are you seeing him mt? I missed seeing him by about 3 days about 20 years ago (was staying with a boyfriend in teh USA and he played a very small intimate gig in Philadelphia about 3 days after my flight home. Then boyfriend went and said he was fantastic and "you would have loved it". I know that!)

monkeytrousers · 14/03/2008 23:45

Edinburgh castle. I have never seen him before. DP has and a mate who is coming went to see him in Paris about 20 years go when he was about 18!

Have you seen the recent film by the way? It's a docu/tribute film. Martha Wainwright gives an astonishing perfomance of one of his songs.

monkeytrousers · 14/03/2008 23:47

I'm a bit too tipsy to remember which one...

OP posts:
Tinker · 14/03/2008 23:49

No, have not seen (or heard of ) that. Will research. Tickets are on Ebay already. Makes me feel soemwaht better about how much I've just shelled out

sfxmum · 15/03/2008 10:45

btw anyone interested in going with me to see Leonard Cohen, will try and get tickets but dh might not want to go

cov I would take it personally if they did not like the cupcakes after all that effort. and as for leather and cats, sis says they are great with kids but cats will wreck anything.
