me and my sister have decided to take my mum to a musical for her birthday. problem is my sister doesn't really like musicals. so if you had to what would you pick?

ideas i have are

chicago
guys and dolls
mary poppins
the wedding singer
doctor dolittle
blood brothers

other ideas very welcome.

Mars went to see Wicked and she loved it too.

In fact, everyone I know that has seen it has said it's the best musical they've seen in a long time.

novicecamper - i watched the trailer and it seems like just the usual musical rubbish to me

she doesn't like ballet or opera. mum would be happy with any musical she loves them all. can't ask her which one she'd prefer cos it is meant to be a surprise. thinking about it i think she mentioned billy elliot a while back but will have to check with my aunt that they didn't see it when they were in london.

Trailer is not impressive I must admit, it doesn't do it justice.

Anyway, that's my last word on it but if you don't go and see it you are missing out.

your sister will jsut have to have a glass of wine (or 2 or 3) before shes goes in. thats what id do
