Nirvana (sadly not possible)

Pop Will Eat Itself or The Jam. Can't decide

Stone roses
Nirvana
The Kinks

policywonk · 06/10/2007 15:49

Not the Roses Jezza

Honest

When I went I was standing right in front of John Squire, and even that didn't make up for the feckin awful noise coming out of Ian Brown's mouth.

satine · 06/10/2007 15:54

Led Zep. I'd have loved to see Robert Plant in his prime. I applied for tickets for their Nov re-union gig but was gutted not to get them.

If anyone knows someone who got tickets but doesn't want them, please remember me!!

sarahhal · 06/10/2007 15:58

Ooh agree with you alienbump, the Smiths supported by James (who I did see in Manchester in May ) Or maybe the Stone Roses. Oh and yes, the Pixies.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/10/2007 15:59

James cannot support The Smiths' reunion gig. I can't stand them!

LyraSilvertongue · 06/10/2007 16:06

I can't see why death should get in the way of our fantasies. After all Nirvana are on my list...

ok, can only think of one at the mo and it will utterly kill any respect I may built up towards me over the past ten months on MN but here goes:

New kids on the block

For teenage nostalgia reasons only, of course.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/10/2007 16:07

The Smiths keep cropping up. Maybe we should all bombard Morrissey, Johnny Marr etc with emails demanding a reunion.

OP posts:
PrincessAfterLife · 06/10/2007 16:07

oh and just to really go for it, while I'm at it:

Milli Vanilli

Am PMSL AT MYSELF here. Oh dear.

LyraSilvertongue · 06/10/2007 16:09

Princessafterlife, you're not serious?

OP posts:
PrincessAfterLife · 06/10/2007 16:15

I am ashamed.

PestoPumpkinMonster · 06/10/2007 16:16

LyraSilvertongue · 06/10/2007 16:17

themoon66 · 06/10/2007 16:19

Anybody but the Spice Girls.

aDad · 06/10/2007 16:19

bigmouth - i used to go and see the NewFADs regularly, they were great live, and never really got the recognition they deserved i dont think.

bigmouthstrikesagain · 06/10/2007 16:20

oh yes princess 'Hangin' tough' great song great band

smugmumofboys · 06/10/2007 16:20

Definitely The Smiths.

Lloyd Cole and the Commotions.

Abba or AC/DC.

PestoPumpkinMonster · 06/10/2007 16:21

Ah, Lyra, didn't know that, just never see them around these days. However, AC/DC have definitely gone quiet lately and I used to fancy the pants off Angus

bigmouthstrikesagain · 06/10/2007 16:22

Yes aDad - they were fantastic - but a bit of a miserable bunch of blokes (bless em) but 'Big' still makes me want to dance

bigmouthstrikesagain · 06/10/2007 16:24

sod all this reminiscing - dd has just smeared pink finger paint all over me dining chairs!!! whilst I was next to her DOH!

janeiteofthelivingdead · 06/10/2007 16:25

I think that both Sonic Youth and The Pixies are still around.

My vote would also go to The Smiths.

And if resurrection is allowed, Joy Division and Nirvana.
