Eyes Wide Shut
Good Will Hunting
Don't Go Breaking My Heart (atrocious romanic comedy Charles Dance as a dentist who tried to hypnotise Jenny Seagrove into falling in love with him)

puppydavies · 01/08/2007 10:24

you're not alone bagsundereyes, citizen kane falls into that influential/worthy but really not that enjoyable category (a bit like dylan...)

i love the sound of dim sum though

IdrisTheDragon · 01/08/2007 10:25

Evita. Although we did at least leave part way through.

expatinscotland · 01/08/2007 10:25

That shitey shite 'Before Sunset'.

aDad · 01/08/2007 10:25

Matrix was ok but matrix 2 was bolleaux

aDad · 01/08/2007 10:25

I have fallen asleep in many films - the one which DH will never forgive me for being during the opening credits of Top Gun.

Saturn74 · 01/08/2007 10:27

Bonfire of the Vanities

aDad · 01/08/2007 10:28

Never let myself watch Top Gun I know I would hate it.

Never had military leannings!

AbRoller · 01/08/2007 10:30

Open Water and the Blair Witch Project - utter shite. I thought the ending of both was were it was getting interesting and then the credits rolled WTF!

Apocalypto - enjoyed the last 15mins

Oliver Stone movie, think it's called freeway. Keifer Sutherland stars - more shite!

expatinscotland · 01/08/2007 10:32

I made the mistake of drinking a Mountain Dew - a bit like an American version of Irn Bru - and two packets of Rolos before going to see 'The Blair Witch Project'.

The result was that I never saw it for wanting to hurl.

And just as well, because I wanted to put a bullet through that screechy, bossy cow Heather.

expatinscotland · 01/08/2007 10:33

Sorry, I ate the Rolos.

JudgeyMcJudgeson · 01/08/2007 10:34

Worst films

SOul survivors - really don't bother.

Teminator - I lasted 1/2 hour before walking out. Dp was not impressed with me, but it was complete shite.

Two that dp and lodger disagree with me over are

Big Fish - sickly sweet versions of old fairy tales, predictable boring shite.

Batman Begins - there is a reasonable 20 minute film in there. I can think of no possible reason for enjoying a 2+ hr training montage.

expatinscotland · 01/08/2007 10:36

Pearl Harbor.

I wanted to file down Kate Beckinsale's teeth and punch that Tom Cruise smile off her face .

puppydavies · 01/08/2007 10:38

i quite enjoyed blair witch although i did think the scariest bit was when they ran out of fags.

JudgeyMcJudgeson · 01/08/2007 10:43

Handmaid's Tale - they butchered what was a beautiful book. It was awful (yeah I know never watch the film of a book you enjoy).

Eyes Wide shut was dull.

The Stand by Stephen King - so so so long, and dull. There is several hours of my life I will never get back.

FlameParakeet · 01/08/2007 11:06

The Handmaids Tale made me read the book though, so tis not all bad.

Katy44 · 01/08/2007 11:08

I though Batman begins was really good, and I don't usually like that comic book stuff (saying that I've enjoyed the Spiderman ones too)
Recent Superman film was TERRIBLE

rebelmum1 · 01/08/2007 11:20

Catch me if you can with leonardo, i could have had great conversation and dinner with a mate instead, how could they make an interesting real life tale so awful, cheesy and unlikely, and a moral (yaboo!)

CatIsSleepy · 01/08/2007 11:29

I liked Blair Witch and Open Water...

I hate ALL Starwars movies yes ALL of them

JudgeyMcJudgeson · 01/08/2007 11:30

oh god star wars.

Have sat through the first 3 one after another.

They did nothing for me.

AbRoller · 01/08/2007 11:48

Cat? Really? I felt dizzy leaving the cinema after Blair Witch. My eyeballs were still shaking after 3 hours! The very end, the last minute I thought "now it's getting interesting and OVER

Reminds me of friends of ours who went to see it in the cimema. The bloke had told his GF that it was real footage of real people and that the film had been found and their parents had given permission for it to be shown publicly. The GF cried all the way through it and up to the point, half an hour after it was over, when the BF told her he was joking. Very gullible of her but wasn't he the shit for doing it too her - brat.

bundle · 01/08/2007 11:59

The Others - just dull & predictable really
Brother Bear - probably the least interesting children's film i've had the displeasure of sitting through (shrek has spoiled me i think)

Novacane · 01/08/2007 12:01

Haven't read all the posts so apologise if repeating but..

The world trade center film
(the one where they are stuck in the rubble for 2 hours. thats it.)

Yawn...........
