Not being judgmental in any way, I think its interesting to see the many and varied topics on the Culture Vulture board - especially when it was first introduced some people thought it would never take off!

Update: Marina, Belle Helene it is. Thankyou!

Incidental: went to see Osvaldo Golijov's South American St. Matthew Passion at Barbican last Friday and have never seen anything anything like it (even last time we saw a Golijov thing which was a million years ago in Oxford & dh was moved to say to this mild bespectacled lad leaning by a wall "may I shake you by the hand"). I know he has a bit of a current vogue for being accessibly exciting but the tragic bits ("Why hast thou forsaken me") being done as fado (with a deep deep female jazz voice) was inspired. Anyone else see it?

pops back into thread and slinks away feeling outclassed since it's moved away from Eastenders as Culture to the ins and outs of opera Grin

Has anyone seen "Capote"? Is it good? Read "In COld Blood" several years ago and cannot wait to see it.

Oh damn, sorry, I meant to start a new thread on Capote, not add to this one.
