Inherited money. Runs a furniture shop specialising in design classics

medium boring: Management consultant, hedge fund manager, director in a bank, partner in a lawyers' firm
Not too boring: investor, business owner.

Restaurant critic for a broadsheet. Has his own foodie blog on the side. Very part time, kind of a Louche lifestyle.

This husband is either very very not rich or inherited wealth so doesn’t really have to worry about actually working for a living.

He owns an import-export business, specializing in everything. And does a little arms dealing on the side, which means lots of travel (to arms fairs and such, often in interesting locations) and meeting all sorts of dodgy characters you will love to write about.

And his assistant, a vicious jealous type with eyebrows that can vaporize at ten paces, has the hots for him but he only has eyes for that beautiful but distant woman he met at the embassy reception, and that’s a whole other kettle of fishies...
