Help me name the school in my novel please!

I am writing a book set in a large primary school. The school has two classes per year group and is situated in an affluent suburb. I want it to be a name that implies it's a lovely school to work in but in reality it's quite the opposite. Thank you!

Who is the book aimed at? Do you want an obviously fake name (Hogwarts style) or a normal (Rydell style)?

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 05/01/2013 22:01

Fairfield
Sunnyside

I'd probably go for something with a bit of nature in the name - oak crescent, willow grove or primrose lane, for example. They conjure up peaceful imagery for me at least. Best of luck with it Grin

Thank you for the prompt responses! It is an easy read sort of chick lit novel (implausible as that may sound!) Something with nature in it is what I had in mind too. There are two schools called Fairfield near me - it needs to be entirely fictitious!

GW297 · 05/01/2013 22:19

Lots of the other schools mentioned are st somethings. That would be the easy option but don't want to bring religion into it!

Lakeside Grange?

Put "ville" on the end of a word, any word, seems to work for Bournville, etc.

TerraNotSoFirma · 05/01/2013 22:34

Lavender lane primary.

GW297 · 05/01/2013 22:36

Lakeview was one I originally liked. The problem is so many of these are similar to real life schools near me and I wish to avoid that at all costs! Thank you for taking the time to respond and give me your ideas - much appreciated!
