There's a good article in the IT today, councils are prepping to be bombarded by online pressure to nominate him. They are expecting the abuse on X to really ramp up and the narrative of denying the electorate of the right to have McGregor on the ballot to be pushed by Musk et al. It's not going to be pretty.

I used to devour the news, I was brought up in a house where we talked about politics morning, noon and night. Now I find it incredibly stressful, the best thing I have done for my mental health is to turn off all notifications from news apps. If McGregor starts this lark I think I'll lock my phone away and try to live in a bubble!
