Ugh.

Our most famous sex offender met America's most famous sex offender.

Lots in common I suppose.

Honestly depressing to see that criminal preening and pretending to represent Ireland.
Such a loser.

I’m curious to know What exactly is this migrant issue he was speaking about? Is there any truth to it? Odd why the WH would allow someone to publicly speak on this?

What is odd about it? Trump campaigned on an anti immigrant platform. Almost his entire government are pushing a toxic masculinity, anti immigration, anti democracy, pro conspiracy theory agenda and CMG is also an agent of all of this.

There is always a grain of truth to this. Yes Ireland has had increased immigration. Most of this is because we have had more jobs than people and have actively encouraged it. Like everywhere we have an increase in aslyum seekers but this is still comparatively low. We also have illegal immigration but due to our small black economy and geography this is also comparatively low. So no we are not over run by any means.

Is this the biggest issue in Ireland today? No it’s not. In the last elections 6% of people said immigration was the most important issue. The big issues are housing, homelessness, cost of living and healthcare.

The irony of CMG telling us immigrants are a danger to us.

Yes, C McG is a virtual poster boy for the Trump government’s disgusting priorities. It’s a marriage made in heaven, when added to the usual cutesy WH St Patrick’s Day nonsense.

They have a buffoon of a president so really not shocking at all they let Andrew Tayto speak in there.

Why hasn't the MSM tackled the points he made? All they can do is attack him as opposed to deal with what he actually said..
The issues so many are concerned about ,= Concerns that have been continually shouted down, concerns that are branded racist and are then gas lit by our EU pupoet govt ?
Conor Mcgregor is a thug but is an Irish person entitled to give his opinion. The fact it was on the podium in The WH is some platform to highlight what is going on here. I woke up Today horrified at the impression of Ireland which is now broadcast throughout the world that He spoke about.

Omg is our American tourism dead in the water?, I know who is to blame - and its not Conor Mcgregor The eu lapdog that is MM and Simon Harris for letting u vetted migrants to swamp Ireland.
DT court case was full of holes.Denocrat witch hunt to derail any presidential second bid .
Conor representing Ireland is not a good look but neither is simpering MM and SH disrespecting the country we all love by running it into the ground , making communities less and less safe.
The latest now is unvetted migrants now becoming gardai to police the Irish people .
It's a joke and I'm worried for Ireland s future.
I'm no fan of Comor's but you know what He spoke the truth on that podium

Lies 🤥. He said lots of rural Irish villages are now majority non Irish. There is not a single Irish town of which that is true. But in the Kingdom of the blind the one eyed man is king. Nobody is the USA will know the real stats. And his diehard fans here are mostly in the Pale of Dublin.

McGregor says he's going to run for the presidency.
You don't need a crystal ball to know that when that doesn't happen, he'll whinge about Deep State or MSM or somebody 'preventing' him, the Chosen One of the People, from achieving his deserved status of President.

So let's put this on record how, at 20.45 on 24/03/2025:
Conor McGregor, you are perfectly free to run for the Presidency.

Like anybody else, you will have to fulfil the following:

  • be a citizen of Ireland
  • be at least 35 years of age
  • be nominated by:
  • at least twenty of the 234 serving members of the Houses of the Oireachtas, or
  • at least four of the 31 county or city councils

If you can do fulfil all that, Conor McGregor, you are as free as anybody else to present yourself as a candidate and get voted into office, if that's what we the people want.

If you cannot fulfil these requirements, Conor McGregor, you can have no complaints. You were as free to stand as anyone else, and if it didn't work out, it's because people TDs and councillors don't like you as much as you like yourself; so no whinging about being prevented from running by dark forces, OK?

TooBigForMyBoots · 24/03/2025 23:22

The deeply misogynist and cats-bum-faced scrote, Martin Daubney, asked GBN viewers if Rapist McGregor was Ireland's voice of hope today.

WTF is it with Right Whingers bigging up rapists these days?🤮🤮🤯

MarieDeGournay · 25/03/2025 08:03

I suppose I should add that my post above is just being rhetorical when I address CmcG - I don't suppose he reads Craicnet on MN😂

Radyward · 25/03/2025 08:14

Why would anyone listen to Rosie O'Donnell? We didn't esp want her here .
Conor Mcg will Never get on the ticket given the things you need to have .
He would be an awful look for Ireland plus total cringe / embarrassment . However he made valid points like Garron Noone did But he is an easy person for the msm to take apart . Garron not so much.
I wonder why Conor mcg wasn't convicted in a criminal court ? Not enough evidence ??? But was in a civil case where the money she was awarded was pittance .
Conor baddie for speaking out on immigration.
Garron noone baddie for speaking out on immigration. Had to close all his S media and basically go into hiding. (
Black paddy - riding a tight rope at the mo' - will he be cancelled too ?? Hope not . Its a joke now all this. Conor mcg knows full well ge won't get on the ticket. He just wants to ripple feathers which he is doing

Conor McGregor wasn’t tried in a criminal court because the DPP won’t risk bringing a case and incurring all costs unless they think there’s a strong chance of conviction. This doesn’t mean they think a crime didn’t occur, just that the prosecution was unlikely to be able to meet the high burden of proof in a criminal trial, which needs to convince a jury that the crime was committed ‘beyond reasonable doubt’. For the prosecution to win a civil trial the jury only needs to think the crime was committed ‘on the balance of probabilities’. Much lower burden of proof.

Psychoticbreak · 25/03/2025 08:59

Conor is clearly bored now he is not fighting and half his business ventures have gone bust. He is also now a known rapist so has to keep the partying to a minimum so like every other narcissist on the planet he now has to focus on something else so ripping apart his own country, going to meet with another narc with too much time on his hands and pretending to run for presidency are not really surprising. He wont get in, he would be bored out of his trolley by the time of voting but now you have to wonder what he will do next.

Radyward · 25/03/2025 09:01

If there was enough evidence he should have been tried. He is totally unsavoury and shouldn't hold the office of president BUT is entitled to an opinion. I'd sat he is just rattling the msm in an effort to ,get " HIS message ' more traction. Garron noone just said it in a measured intelligent way anc still the left tried to cancel and abuse him.
Feel v sorry for Garron seeing as katie H endorsed him.i watch her reels she is sometimes right on the money and others too close to the bone and so snipey. That is not a good look or endorsement for Garron.he must wish he never commented

But there wasn’t enough evidence, or at least enough evidence for the DPP to think there was enough chance of conviction to take it to trial. Hence Nikita Hand taking a civil case, with its lower burden of proof.

As for his opinions, everyone has them. Some are based on extensive knowledge, others are based on knuckle-dragging prejudice. Conor McGregor’s ‘opinions’ have seen him be investigated by gardaí for incitement to hatred.

It’s not just an opinion though. He stood up in the white house and told lies and claimed that is the biggest issue for Irish people when we know it is not. he claimed to speak for all of us when most people hate him and think him to be a racist, rapist.

Garron Noone didn’t do that: he does not have far right views. He temporarily removed his account after both being criticised online and being horrified by being supported by right wing people who do not share his values. He was not cancelling,

Everyone I've spoken to is absolutely insulted by that sex offender being invited on Patrick's day.
It was designed to offend and undermine our democratic leaders.
McGregor allowed himself to be used as a useful idiot.

I agree.
I think this was a very deliberate and calculated move on Trumps part.
Both are disgusting scum for sure.
But there is an ugly petty cunning to Trump that all rats have, and cannot be underestimated in the damage and chaos it can cause.

This was undoubtedly a deliberate act to promote another "outsider" in a Presidential campaign.

God help Ireland.

Psychoticbreak · 26/03/2025 09:08

God help Ireland nothing. The right wing twats are far outweighed by the rest of us thankfully and McRapist wont be getting elected anywhere. He is a twat and the people who support him the same. It is the usual rhetoric where 'dem foreigners coming into are cuntry takin are jobs' etc is bleeted by uneducated sheeple who very rarely have ever worked themselves. The issue is they are more mouthy because one they have time as they do not usually have jobs to go to and they are only so mouthy as they are fuming that their own way of scrounging off the government and the state is under threat by people coming into the country. Every single right winger I have come across over here with their open mouths and closed minds are the same, living off the state themselves. This is what they really feel threatened by, that their own benefits will be reduced it has nothing to do with foreign people being here really. Too much time on their hands. Would not occur to most to get jobs of course.

Far be it from me to congratulate us for continuing to elect essentially identical parties playing musical chairs in essentially identical coalitions, but given the rise in electing far-right politicians and parties across Europe, I’d like to think we deserve a few Brownie points from the universe for choosing the usual crew.

I don’t actually think the Áras is in much danger of having a violent, xenophobic, racist rapist in situ.

Indeed. And didn’t McRapist himself spend quite some time on the dole whilst pursuing his MMA ‘skill’?

Psychoticbreak · 26/03/2025 10:53

Sure he could have perfected that specific skillset in the playground like most skangers do but he preferred to take money off the government and train in a gym instead. Anyone who listens to that buffoon deserves a slap themselves!

Odras · 26/03/2025 11:36

This article references his Make Ireland Great Again hat.

Are we making Ireland great again like the 1980’s with recession, unemployment, emigration and the troubles? Or maybe the 1950’s with the economic hardship, low wages, emigration and the widespread abuse of children?

news.sky.com/story/amp/conor-mcgregor-says-he-wants-to-be-irelands-next-president-13332918

MarieDeGournay · 29/03/2025 11:24

The role of President is largely ceremonial, and the Irish language is an important part of the 'ceremonials' of state.

The President is also guardian of the Constitution, which still states - and will continue to state until there is a successful referendum to change it - that Irish is the first national language.

Any candidate - not just MGregor, though I assume he is deeply committed to the language of the native Irish population before it was swamped and the Great Replacement by English took place - should be able to function in both national languages. That's the gig, and Presidents are very well paid - and housed! - to do it.

Anybody with designs on the Áras has had time and resources to get their Gaeilge up to scratch so they could at least schmooze a bit and make prepared speeches in it. It's never been easier to learn Irish as an adult, from Duolingo to intensive courses inside and outside the Gaeltacht. The days of blaming bad teaching and Peig Sayers are long gone.

So a question for all candidates, including McGregor, if he makes it that far:
Will you be able to carry out your Presidential duties in both national languages? And if not, why not?
