Anyone watching?
I thought the home in Co. Clare was robbed of a place in the final.
It was stunning.

@Magnalux ".... I knew they'd put House 2 through, it ticks all their boxes......it's very sterile....."

This 💯👏🏻

I liked both house 1 and 2, particularly loved the playroom and the kids bedroom in house 1. I was really surprised Hugh gave house 3 full marks, although I did love that massive window looking out over the fields.

I agree about the tiles on the chimney breast, thought they were a bit out of place.

Final tonight folks.. my money is on last weeks house winning! Which one do you think will take the title ?

LadyEloise1 · 09/04/2024 11:04

I think you might be right.
None of the finalists have "grabbed" me as far as I can remember.

I wish they’d have a public vote too, I’d imagine the results would be very different to the judges choices!

The winning house wouldn't have been my choice. I thought it was dark and gloomy.

I was happy enough with the house that won, it was definitely in my top 3. The dining room was fabulous and I thought they had done a lot with a small space. It was a bit gloomy I guess but made a change from the enormous, blindingly bright Diarmud Bannon style box which predominates these days. There was no other house I thought was miles ahead of it or anything though I personally loved the Cork schoolhouse and the gate lodge.

I liked the winning house as it was clever design but couldn’t live in all the darkness myself. None of the houses were that great to me, I’m sure in other years there were ones I preferred much more.
