Three children in the same family have died overnight.

The Gardaí are not looking for anyone outside of the family for this.

Such a tragedy. 💔💔💔

Yes I read about that too. My God what is going on at the moment Bad enough adults killing & hurting each other but innocent defenceless little babies...

The Westmeath funeral was just heartbreaking,the 'double' white coffin is just too sad. I hope the family can get through this, I can't imagine how distressing it must be.

Each death as violent as each other.

I can't bare to think about the fear that went through those poor children before their violent end.

Taken in horrendous circumstances.

Looking over the austerity cuts on policing, mh service, CAMH's and medical treatment whilst the population is increasing vital services are decreasing.

Obviously they're not responsible for personal actions though without services society is breaking down further.

It's frightening how vulnerable people are in rural areas with local station closures.

I often think of Mr Tom Niland, who has little chance of recovering from his injuries and others like him.

Innocent teenagers left with serious injuries by louts with nothing better to do.

I only wish there was answers to fix things more education, respect from home, more police. 😢

The double coffin although tragic was really sweet too.

So is been confirmed that it's the mother that murdered her 2 children.

The sympathy online for her is sickening! People were calling for the death penalty for the Tallaght murders but seemily it's OK for this mother to burn her children to death!

She didn't have to murder them, kill herself, yes!! But why put everyone through this pain and I can only imagine the last thoughts that went through those 2 babies heads when they seen the mother set them on fire.

Senseless.

All I feel for her is hatred.

Yes she has murdered her DC though she intended to die with them through suicide.

A passing truck stopped the gentleman pulled her from the burning vehicle along with her daughter.

I am not excusing her actions but I don't think it is as simple as wanting to kill her DC.

She'd moved to a scheduled area in the months before.

She may have been hiding and paranoid we don't know the details yet.

Yes it was meant to be a murder, suicide. The murder part worked the suicide failed.

She wanted her children dead, she burned them to death. If she didn't want them dead she would not have put them through that sheer horror.

I wasn't going to argue your point with pp though she must have been ill to even consider burning to death as a suicide option.
I cannot think of a worse way to die.

I have NO sympathy for that mother. She murdered her children. She should not have killed them!! There's help out there and if she couldn't get it she should have handed the children over to someone. The father was obviously in contact with them, why didn't she give them to him?

I compared the case in Tallaght, not the way they died, I didn't know he was singing while killing them, it was very strange then he was partying with his mother in Clondalkin in an uncles house, 1 hour before hand? If he had been threatening the kids for years. My comparison was that obviously these 2 murderers suffered mental health issues but one is bashed online and the other has posts offering her sympathy and god love her that she wasn't in the right frame of mind, and that she'd heal, to forgive herself, it wasn't her fault, she was suffering, the poor mother, her head wasn't right, !!

He had gatecrashed his DGF birthday party and when he started picking on his DM he was physically removed from his DGF birthday bash and headed directly to his ex childhood home to kill the children.

Both circumstances are absolutely tragic, children died violently and unnecessarily but the circumstances were very different.

I can't make sense of such awful things happening to innocent children.

It's just horrific. I think now that she's been arrested and the Gardai are certain there's nobody else involved, there's no need for any more reporting on the case. The other two children are teenagers I can't imagine how difficult this must be for them and the rest of the family. No need for strangers to know all the details, it won't help the case or change anything. May those poor babies rest in peace.

It was noted in the newspaper he'd previously harassed and assaulted a member of the family.

I have family in the area too.

The neighbours were aware of his previous threats and watched out for the family.

I went to the funerals.

Home CCTV caught the tragic episode, there was police, ambulance, his mother and every neighbour pleading with him to stop while he sang wildly over the cries.

Another case in Clare, a woman and primary school aged child in a critical condition.
