Three children in the same family have died overnight.

The GardaĆ are not looking for anyone outside of the family for this.

Such a tragedy. šŸ’”šŸ’”šŸ’”

It's hard to believe it could happen. They really did seem like a loving family, the twins described as being so good at sharing their toys.. their big sister who loved them so much..

How could such evil happen to them?

EmeraldShamrock1 · 06/09/2022 22:55

An angry person with jealous streak towards his siblings and a moments of hatred for his mother was his reasoning and excuse.

He'd threatened them many times and even assaulted another member of the family in the months leading up to it.

The young boy knew to escape immediately for help when he saw the evil scum arriving.

He knew the mother was out at a friend's.

I can't stop thinking about the fear those children seeing each other being hurt before passing away.

The community needs counselling.

His father passed away, his DM remarried and had 3 more children.

Killer Identified as older brother. 😢

The funerals are today. What an horrific day their mother, younger brother and the wider family and friends have to go through.
Thinking of them.
May Lisa, Christy and Chelsea rest in peace.
Sad

Rip.

IMustMakeAmends · 09/09/2022 09:06

I saw this story earlier in the week and was horrified. Those poor, poor children. It's extraordinary that a young adult could be so consumed with hatred and violence as to do this to innocent children in his own family.

I can't imagine how the mother and the surviving boy are coping. What a life they face without the others, it's heartbreaking.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 09/09/2022 11:40

May they rest in peace.

I don't know how the family, community, neighbours and friends will ever get over it.

I hope they have a joyous send off. šŸ•Š

Horrific and just as we're processing that we get the news of the 2 very young children killed in the car fire in Westmeath Sad Latest reports are that it was deliberate and they have one suspect... I can't comprehend the level of badness needed for someone to do this. It's just unthinkable.

Unspeakably awful.
I do hope anyone who knows anything will assist the Gardai.

All these innocent children...
It is beyond cruel.
I really hope they find the perpetrator.

It seems from how it's being reported on now that it was the mother Sad Gardai are waiting for her to be well enough to be interviewed. I just hope to God she put them to sleep beforehand, I can't think of a worse way to die than being burned to death in blazing car. Those poor babies.

This story just gets worse and worse... those poor children

billybassie · 13/09/2022 22:29

What?! Where is it being reported that it was the mum?

LifeInAHamsterWheel · 14/09/2022 09:24

It hasn't been reported directly, but just from the way it's being worded it seems to me that she's the main suspect. This is an extract from an article a couple of days ago:

GardaĆ expect to question a person of interest in the deaths of the two children in the coming days. A suspect was identified within hours of the tragedy but has not yet been interviewed by investigators. No other suspects have been identified and gardaĆ believe the car fire was started deliberately.

She is still in hospital so I'm presuming that's why they haven't been able to interview her yet. Maybe I'm making the wrong assumption?

TheVeryThing · 14/09/2022 10:16

Yes, it does seem like the mother is the suspect. I thought that from early on as they were giving very little information. Those poor innocent children.

LadyLothbrook · 14/09/2022 10:46

I thought I read that it was the older brother and the older sibling died protecting the younger two?

SparkyBlue · 14/09/2022 11:13

@LadyLothbrook I think the mother being mentioned is the mother of the children killed in the fire. Unfortunately a totally different tragedy. Yes I also think the mother is the main suspect as well. It's absolutely horrific to even think about it

This is about a different incident, not the one in the OP.

LadyLothbrook · 14/09/2022 11:23

Apologies. Very ignorant of me.

EmeraldShamrock1 · 14/09/2022 17:35

I suspect you're right about the mother.

So many beautiful children in Ireland have been murdered violently in a very short time frame.

I don't think it has ever been this bad, society is breaking down.

honeyrider · 15/09/2022 23:54

Another very sad case from Louth - an infant is in a critical condition in Temple St. and the gardai are investigating it.

halfpasteleven · 16/09/2022 04:45

Yes @honeyrider 9 weeks old.., I feel sick st the thought of it
