What age to let DC stay up for the toy show??

DD is 7 and asked to stay up this year (we usually record it and put it on middle of the day Saturday). I’ve said ok. But other DD is almost 4 and I’m not sure what to do with her! I think she would manage staying up for the start but fall asleep during it. Or stay awake and be massively overtired.

So what age did your start staying up?

I can only find the singalong on rte player?

It's usually on the RTÉ player the next day.

My 7 year old lasted for all of it. The 4 year old asked to go to bed at 11.30, I took her in, the ad break finished, she realised it wasn’t over and ran back. She fell asleep on the couch at 11.50!!

RTEplayer froze for the last 5 mins or so for us but we saw most of it.

Michael was brilliant and the bit with the girl in the studio and all the other kids around the wolld (and Gary Barlow) had me in tears!

It was just gorgeous. Ryan was daft as a brush but I think that's sort of deliberate, it let's the children shine and seem to poised in comparison.

Well my dc stayed up and awake throughout but I didn’t make it! It seems I have now reached the age where I’m too old to be let stay up for the toy show
