I was amazed when mil wondered aloud who would be bothered going to see him when she can have it on the telly while she's getting things done at home. Only one of her friends is making the trek (from the Midlands so easy enough to get there for the committed). It'll be interesting to see how many show up at the two events, it wouldn't surprise me if more end up in Knock. And apparently there's a temporary morgue set up in the Phoenix Park so that's hopeful.

I happened to be watching Saturday AM around the time the pope was due to arrive when Simon Coveney walked out on the tarmac with his family to greet the pope.

Fidelma Healy Eames was one of the 3 panelists on the show and I was like wtf when she started started making comments about Simon's children wearing glasses.

You'd think someone who's a former teacher should know better than to pick on children and make comments about their physical appearance - then again it's Fidelma - enough said.
