We have a new one.
It's great value for well known brands.
( l don't like cheap brands l don't know).

Op I've been going there for years. It's getting more expensive now but still get unexpected bargains sometimes. Good for the basics like milk and stuff x

Really good value, with a great range of frozen and non-frozen food.
We often get money off vouchers through the letterbox too.
Ours is clean and tidy with pleasant staff.
I always seem to get the wonky trolley though 🤔

I love it but it can be very hit and miss. I fine it's best if you have a big freezer so you can make the most of deals and bargains when you spot them. I use the large warehouses for dry and tinned dog food, toilet rolls in bulk, and catering packs of soap liquid and fabric conditioner. My kids love the frozen 1/4lb burgers, the large 1kg bags chicken goujons/bites/ strips, the various frozen potato products and I buy the home fries in the big bags , I think they are 2 for £6z they do a good beer battered fish which is 1.99 for 2 good sized fillets. The tutti frutti ice cream is amazing!

But what I especially love is the random things they get in. 6 months ago they had Napolina boxed spaghetti in, 3 for £1. Tetra packs of napolina passatta £1 for 3. Huge packs of frozen cubes of frozen ginger and garlic 2 for £1. XSell Frozen 10 inch bake and rise pizza £1 for 2 .

I spend around £120 every 8 weeks and use the vouchers on the website and then the discount basically gets me a leg of lamb for free.

It's really good for loo roll and frozen fruit. I buy both in bulk there using the vouchers from the paper, but that's it.

The rest of the stuff isn't usually the things we eat, so we only get those things there.

This sounds like an advert for Farmfoods.

The one near me is in a retail park so pretty big. It has random good offers on things, sometimes big brand cans and jars.

The Farmfoods own make food is pretty horrible sometimes, especially the meat.

The store is pretty dingy and customer service non existent!

I don't even know where my nearest Farmfoods is! There's an Iceland nearby but it closes at 6pm which is not very practical for a supermarket in 2024. So they're not shops I would ever go to.

Ours is actually our closest shop and less than 5 minutes walk so I pop there often for bits and bobs. It does have some random stuff like clothes steamers and beanie babies on offer at times. They have a good value cheese and milk and the frozen veg (including soffritto) is as good as any other.

I used to go as a student in the late 90s. I have no desire to back.
