Order of payments made

I know it's randomly paid according to DWP, but I've gotten every other cost of living payment on the first day of the stated payment window.
This time, however, I have not received it on the first day (today) - can anyone help me out please and tell me if they have received the cost of living payment in the same order (ie 1st day or 2nd etc) every time?
Would really stop me worrying so much!

Mine have been very random the first I was very near the end, one I was a week and last time first day.

All randomised. My bill got his 2 days before me and then I got one 5 before him.... Same surname so it's not alphabetically 😂

I wish I knew what day ! I have to wait up till 1 am every night till I get it (always goes in between 12-1) and I have to move any payments over to my savings account as soon as they come in so I can manage my money

Always get mine the first week but different days.
Didn't get it today but neither did anyone else i know.
My friend usually receives her on the last day.

Me too, was stupidly expecting it to follow the same pattern as the last ones have. Thanks for your replies everyone, I suffer anxiety and was worried that as it hadn't been paid on 1st day as before that I wouldn't get it for some reason.

A FOI request confirmed people are put in computer randomised batches. Batch 1 is paid first day, Batch 2 second day so on. It is randomised every time there is a new COLP, so it's possible through coincidence (although rare) to get all the payments on the first day. There are only 6-7 batches that pay 1.6 million payments a day. 99% of people get paid during the first 6 working days the rest of the payment window is used to pay those that have been missed by the system, changed bank accounts or switched benefits.

Yes exactly the same git the payment first day on all the other times still waiting this time. Glad to know I’m not on my own. Anxiety was getting the best of me.

I’ve always gotten mine on day 1 however I’m still waiting this time round. As of now, nothing has been received yet. I guess tomorrow will be another morning for me to check my bank. Xx

I have a 'scheduled payment' showing on my online banking that is due to go in tomorrow.

My April payment went in two days after the start date, the October payment was on the day, so it really is completely random.

Could really do with it now due to having to buy a new car and using wages to add to budget knowing this was coming
