Now that we're (mostly) all on the new tariff, how much in ££ are you using per day?

We seem to be using between £9 & £10 😳 4 bed detached newish build, really conscious of energy use, I WFH and DS has his Xbox on quite a lot of the evening, but my goodness it's a lot...

Don’t know gas as they couldn’t fit the smart meter but electricity is 4-8 a day depending mainly on the tumble dryer, which I only use for bedding/ towels and if I need to do a midweek overnight turnaround on muddy people kit.

November so far has been between £4.50 and £7.50. I think the average so far for November is about £5.50 a day.

The lower days are when I've gone to the office and not done any washing etc.

Why’s our energy going up so high in the UK? It’s going up everywhere, but European countries aren’t paying as much are they?

The energy situation here just gets the van kicked down the road. When they try to come up with green solutions, it’s always the not in my backyard answer.

I don’t think anything will change much in the next decade and our bills will rise to what ?Our domestic energy problem could have been solved years ago.

This is the problem with relying on other countries. Although I don’t know why electricity has gone up seeing as it’s here already!

I can’t see the French putting up with paying £3k per year on energy. It just won’t happen there will it ?

4 bed detached and I work from home 5 days a week. £4 a day electric and about £3.50 a day gas (thermostat is set to 17 degrees) I mostly shower at the gym after swimming and my partner does as well so no daily showers/baths here
