Definitely snuggly. I don’t have my salary go in there but you can use it as your main account if you want. At the start of the month I transfer my monthly budget into there & only use that for my spends. It’s great for budgeting, seeing where you spend money (I spend money on food 🙈) & helps me save too. I also like that it’s instant. When I use my Halifax debit card it takes a couple of days to show up - whenever you spend using your Monzo card you get an instant notification on your phone & it’s deducted from your money instantly.

Urgh Wreck it’s always when you need them to have a good sleep that they wake at the crack of dawn.

Not at work today. DH working from home so I have DS. Got tot pop to the shops to take my ASOS stuff back, but other than that just staying in I think.

Happierwithouthim · 30/05/2019 09:18

Mine haven't napped in years either but on a car journey sometimes it'll happen Grin

Yesterday h diverted photographer to my house so that I'd pay for dd's communion photos, going to wait until he asks about them before I mention it!

ememem84 · 30/05/2019 09:20

Such a stressful morning so far....

ememem84 · 30/05/2019 09:24

Busy day here. Pedicure then going to the bakery to grab some donuts then heading to dparents to work on my essay. The donuts are payment for sitting at their table.

Only going there because I’m meeting dh for lunch in town and their place is closer than ours and I won’t get much done if I head home as I’ll know I’ll only have about an hour and half. I’ll have probably 2half hours this way

Then midwife appointment after lunch.

Phew.

Thatsnotmybaby · 30/05/2019 10:00

The early waking has been happening in our house recently too @wreck, my heart just sinks when I know DS is awake and I'm going to have a tired, cranky child on my hands for the day. Hopefully the excitement of London is enough to perk your DS up.

Just heard this morning that there is chicken pox in nursery, neither DC has had it and we due to go away on holiday in just over two weeks eeek!

WreckTangled · 30/05/2019 10:18

That's there's always the vaccine. Both mine have had it. We worked out it was cheaper than us having to take time off work/cancel a holiday.

Thatsnotmybaby · 30/05/2019 11:15

Ooh that's an interesting thought @WreckTangled. It might be too late but if they escape this time, I'll look into it.

Yesterday was NSD.
Today I need diesel and bread.

WreckTangled · 30/05/2019 12:07

Just small ice creams for the dc today

wreck those look insanely good!!

Essay writing disturbed by seagull tapping on window.

Met dh for lunch. Bao buns all round. Le yum!!!

Now waiting for my midwife appointment.

£83 😱 in warehouse on summery tops. Luckily they had a 25% off most things. I feel a smidge guilty buying things. But at the same time I don’t. I’m buying nice things as and when I see them as I’m sick of maternity clothes. Everything I bought will work as casual for summer (ie with shorts) or can work it up for work when I go back - with trousers/skirt heels and a jacket

Is that candyfloss on top wreck?

Cagliostro · 30/05/2019 14:43

Wreck what was the name of that ice cream place again...? 😱

DD is going to London on Saturday. Unplanned spend but a friend had a spare ticket for the BTS tour 😱😱😱 she is going to flip. Must admit I am a tad nervous about her going without us, she isn’t super close to this friend really, and it’s pretty huge for her first gig ever. But she will never get this opportunity again, ever, so I have said yes!

Just listing some stuff on FB. We are having a massive clear out, mostly of games. I suddenly feel much more able to let go of lots of them. Not sure they will all sell locally because some are a bit obscure. But worth a try for a few quid.

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/05/2019 17:03

Spendy day as predicted.
Ice cream looks lush.

Thatsnotmybaby · 30/05/2019 17:29

Those ice creams are so pretty @WreckTangled.

Spends today:
£6 supermarket

Was too lazy to get diesel, I can manage till tomorrow.

Had a very productive afternoon at work, made good headway on something I've been struggling with so I'm happy with that.

ememem84 · 30/05/2019 18:21

Midwife apt done. Apparently bump is slightly smaller than last time which she’s putting down to positioning if baby. IF it’s still smaller next time it’s another growth scan. She’s not concerned. So I’m ok with that.

Picked Ds up from nursery. He was on jungle gym/soft play they have there and was super happy so we let him have a play for a bit. He is getting awesome at the slide!! He did go down it face first though...! #reckless

Now sitting out in the garden. He’s on his bikes. Dh is sweeping. I’m sat on the grass.

Girliefriendlikescake · 30/05/2019 18:48

Hi quick check in from not-very-sunny-sidmouth! Having a nice time though, have spent a fortune easily £100 so far mostly on eating out and we had a day out Ystd at a wildlife place.

Think we have decided we prefer Dorset to this bit of Devon as there is a bit more to do there, dd is desperate to go crabbing and there really isn't anywhere here...

Dd had her assessment on Tuesday the verdict was it is 'highly probable' she has ASD. They're going to send me a detailed report and I can take that to her gp and go from there. Not sure how I feel tbh, relieved and gutted at the same time maybe 😕

Wreck here's a pic of dds milkshake today...

Cagliostro · 30/05/2019 18:54

Aaah wow girlie totally natural to have such mixed feelings. The detailed report should be really helpful as GPs haven’t all got the memo that girls can mask ASD 🙄 did you like the staff? I wonder if we will see the same people :) how does she feel about it, did she hear the verdict too?

WreckTangled · 30/05/2019 19:02

Looks great girlie! Bitter sweet getting a suspected diagnosis confirmed Sad

Cag the other place we went to was the milk train but this place was the knot Smile

Completely exhausted today but still have money in my purse.

Cagliostro · 30/05/2019 19:22

I shall have to look both of those up. Probably not in the same day :o

Bought Cagletini a raincoat in Morrisons... regretting it. She was super excited (she loves clothes already Hmm). Kept saying YEAH! To trying it on at home. Won’t stop screaming while it’s on because she wanted the sleeves rolled up further than physically possible. Won’t stop screaming when I try to take it off. Toddlers. FFS.

I had a free hearing test today, clear as I thought but she said I should ask for a speech test. Do you do those too wreck? It seems that is the next step in finding out what might help me.

Cagliostro · 30/05/2019 20:35

YAY some items sold already (games on FB). I get massive anxiety doing that sort of thing for some reason (am I pricing to high, too low etc). But that’s an easy few quid.

Watching Britain’s got talent. As BTS are on it DD wanted to. And then when they are on, we can say DD wouldn’t it be sooo cool to see them live...well you are going to on Saturday... :o

WreckTangled · 30/05/2019 21:29

No cag I don't do that.

We're home and the dc are in bed. Phew! No one fell asleep on the way home either which is surprising.

Girliefriendlikescake · 30/05/2019 22:14

I'll pm you cag once I'm home, we get back late tomorrow so likely be Saturday (But yes the lady was lovely!)

lifelongfrugaleer · 31/05/2019 07:56

Taking DC to a theme park so will be spendy today

SnugglySnerd · 31/05/2019 08:41

Thanks MrsG. I didn't realise it was an actual account. I thought it was just a budgeting app. It sounds good though. I'll do more research.

Cagliostro · 31/05/2019 11:08

FFS. DH got to the hospital and found he had no appointment. Because the receptionist had chosen the wrong department on the drop down box apparently... the department doesn’t exist at this hospital. He had postponed another appt to go to this and the fact he’s wasted several hours on travel when we have so much to do is upsetting. It is only £7.50 for the bus pass for the day but it’s money we really don’t have spare to waste. Gutted :(

Thatsnotmybaby · 31/05/2019 11:47

Oh that's so frustrating @Cagliostro. How is DH doing these days?

I have a child free day off today so I'm cracking on with housework, have tidied all of downstairs (25 mins putting away toys Shock), vacuumed, mopped and cleaned kitchen. Now I think I'm going to go back to toys and put some away in the loft as spending 25 mins clearing toys away equals having too many toys around IMHO.

Getting my hair done later, may do supermarket shop too, or maybe I will leave that till tomorrow.
