Oh and happy 17th birthday to Wheelyteen.

ememem84 · 15/05/2019 22:43

IN the spare room again. I think dh feels a bit miffed about this. But I’m sleeping. So that’s all good

I’ve been watching fleabag. Love it.

RubySlippers77 · 15/05/2019 23:41

Sorry everyone, I've been MIA too with a poorly, clingy DS1. He's finally got antibiotics now but we've had two weeks now of him being sad and grumpy. Money saving has come second to just making sure we have something to eat; McDonalds and Pizza Hut have both been used Blush

Really hoping that he's back at preschool tomorrow and I can get the house sorted out before half term and our holiday!

Happierwithouthim · 16/05/2019 07:35

Aargh I need to get back posting and reading this thread

WreckTangled · 16/05/2019 07:39

£13 on my sisters birthday present. Got her some cool bath bombs delivered.

Happierwithouthim · 16/05/2019 07:59

I need to buy for my friend who had her second baby last week, her second boy. The only option I have is to purchase on the day I'm driving 2.5 hours to see her or get a gift voucher Confused

happytobemrsg · 16/05/2019 09:07

Looks like I’m going into work today on my day off 😡just a half day & the money will come in handy but still. DH will be taking DS out for lunch & I'm missing out 😢 DS’ cold seems to have got worse (it was better). I’ve woken up with bad hay fever & obviously can’t take anything for it. Feeling very sorry for myself this morning. Think I’ll go & have breakfast in the garden.

Happy birthday wheelyteen

Hope your DS is better soon Ruby

Happier what about a big bunch of flowers & chocs? I’m always driving past M&S in the petrol stations & they have lovely flowers 💐

happytobemrsg · 16/05/2019 09:08

Glad your Dcat is on the mend moi

ememem84 · 16/05/2019 09:18

£5 transferred to savings today. Lunch provided by work today as were having a training session and I resisted the coffee shop delights of hot chocolate and a pastry.

Have been up since 5. Have done some gentle Pilates and had an early breakfast. Ds woke up at 630. So was done with my “me” time well before he was awake.

Have also managed to make some snacks. Apple slices and also a small pot of cucumber sticks and carrot sticks with peanut butter.

Was meant to by heading to the gym today after work but my trainers cancelled on me. So I’m sacking it off.

Also have to sit at a colleagues desk today as my pc has broken. Again. It did an update last night and apparently didn’t like it. Ffs. Call to it helpdesk people and they’ll sort it at some point before the weekend. Lucky colleague it out until Tuesday....

happytobemrsg · 16/05/2019 09:56

Wow how do you manage to get up at 5 em?! I’d be shattered for the rest of the day (& that was before I was pregnant!).

Had breakfast in the garden 😎 I must say the flowers are looking gorgeous (they were all planted last year). DS will be home from MIL by 10:30 so I’ll sort out some washing now I think. I’ll then have DS while DH works out & then off to work (annoying client conference call booked for 1:30 based on a document in French. Which I can’t read. Should be interesting Hmm)

Made a pot of berries for a snack later & I must remember to eat lunch before I leave to save £.

ememem84 · 16/05/2019 11:27

mrsg to be fair I might be exhausted later.

But I think I’m sleeping better because I’m in the spare room at present. And the sun comes through the window (even though we have black out curtains...) I was just wide awake. And knew if I went back to sleep it’s be game over and I’d feel awful this morning.

It’s not a habit I want to get into. I’d be happy with 6am get ups. That’s far more reasonable.

Thatsnotmybaby · 16/05/2019 14:31

I'm with you on that one @happytobemrsg, and I can't imagine how many meals I would need in the day if I was up at 5am Grin. Great that you are getting a good nights sleep though @em.

Spends yesterday was £2 on a scone at work, have been in and out of the office a lot at work and I'm finding that, because I don't need to bring food Every day, then I'm not in the habit of doing it the days I need to.

Out of the office all day today so £8 on lunch and drinks.

WreckTangled · 16/05/2019 15:40

£21 schools trips. Does everyone else's primary school dc have at least one trip a term?! It really adds up

ememem84 · 16/05/2019 16:23

I crashed about an hour ago. Tired now. Clock watching.

I am not planning on making 5am a regular thing famous last words but it was nice to have the quiet time. And to let catface bounce about the garden in the early morning sun.

I ended up grabbing a flat white from coffee shop across the road (in my mug) to give me a boost. Baby girl seems to have enjoyed it too she is so wiggly now!!!!!!

WreckTangled · 16/05/2019 16:29

Have you got any names em?

ememem84 · 16/05/2019 16:43

I wanted a super strong girl name.

So far we’ve gone through:
Beyoncé
Oprah
Michelle (Obama)
Shakira

Dh says no.

In all seriousness the names I like are:

Maisie
Mabel
Poppy
Florence (three out of four grandmas were Florence’s)
Flora
Juniper
Rosie
Grace
Loveday

Dh only likes Florence. But it’s not my “love” name.

The name I love is actually Millie. Which is also catfaces real name. But can’t have 2 Millie’s. It’s get confusing.

WreckTangled · 16/05/2019 16:46

I like all of them but my favourites are Flora, Mabel and Rosie I think

Wolfcubisthefemalenominal · 16/05/2019 17:08

I love Mabel and Florence

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/05/2019 17:56

£178 school uniform.

All nice names em. Practice shouting out with ds name in a DS, dd come here now kind of way.

ememem84 · 16/05/2019 18:11

Ds is Charlie. So I think Beyoncé could work...😂

Cagliostro · 16/05/2019 18:15

Hello you lovely bunch just sheepishly popping in after a lovely pm from em x

Things are meh but plodding on and trying to remain vaguely frugal

Hello cag we've missed you! Hope you're okay lovely 😘

Love those names em, I know a young Juniper in rl and have to say it's really grown on me, she goes by Juno some of the time. Not sure about Loveday though tbh 😬 what about Molly if you like Millie? If I'd had another dd I would have gone with Esme or maybe Bonnie. I like Florence just because Florence Nightingale is one of my nursing hero's 😁

Not a bad day here, nearly finished my induction now. Nsd.

Girliefriendlikescake · 16/05/2019 19:42

Just realised that's a lie I spent £8 on a ticket to see a show dd is in.

SnugglySnerd · 16/05/2019 19:54

I had an early start too this is to ds. 4.30. He went back to sleep but I didn't, too light.
£14 today for dd's school trip.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/05/2019 20:10

Hey cag.

No other spends today. Tomorrow will be spendy but using nectar points for communion food
