CHECKING IN. JUST POSTED ON old thread. Thanks cag

WreckTangled · 06/04/2019 10:44

I've worked out. And now have cookies in the oven. Going for our haircut then my mum and step dad are coming round.

I've volunteered lunch on Easter Sunday as it's also my dads birthday. Where can I get the nicest best value leg of lamb?!

I'm in pain. And also just pulled my neck getting the sieve. Also why doesn't neck start with a k? It should.

Wolfcub · 06/04/2019 10:57

Thank you for the new thread Cag Cake

Lovemaltesers · 06/04/2019 11:10

Thanks for the new thread.

We go away on Monday so planning and packing here

Thatsnotmybaby · 06/04/2019 11:11

Thanks for new thread @Cagliostro.
Also a big fan of katsu curry; do you use a special katsu curry powder @ememem84?
Slow morning here, DD has a cold so we've been watching cartoons and eating pineapple rings.

ememem84 · 06/04/2019 11:31

thats Ive posted my recipe on the old thread. It’s just curry power. It’s a jamie Oliver recipe I think so super simple.

Second load of laundry on the line. Third in machine.

Have moved all our clothes into the other room. Well the ones on the rails anyway. It looks a tip. But a tidy tip iyswim. But it’s for a couple of days.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2019 11:47

Great title cag

£57 Aldi, £20 Iceland ,£97 Sainsbury's ffs

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2019 11:49

£5 lunch at ds’s volunteer thing

£38 Sainsbury’s on jumpers and shampoo. I’ve bought a really cute bright lemon jumper but it may not go with my hair.

ohhiyouitsme · 06/04/2019 13:06

Hi everyone, just checking in, regular lurker and sporadic name changer 🙂.

ememem84 · 06/04/2019 14:36

Oooh. I’ve also just made an appointment to do this to my hair. Eeeeee!

£52 for mine and DD's hair.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2019 16:46

Nice hair.
£35 farm shop but bought food to save a take out too

Girliefriendlikescake · 06/04/2019 16:46

Signing in, thanks cag

Yesterday was very busy in the end with work, sorting out dd and then taking her to her grandads for the weekend. Spent £30 ish on petrol.

Today I've been working, spent £3.50 on a meal deal lunch and £7 in tescos on a few bits as have a friend coming over later.

Agree the thread isn't the same sea 😕* hopefully we will find out mojo again. I don't think we have ever really recovered from frugal queen fluffy* going tbh 😢

Wolfcub · 06/04/2019 17:04

Love the hair idea Em. Are you having extensions as well as the balayage?

I miss Quite and Fluffy. I also hope Jam and Lonely are ok as I’ve not seen them around this week

Thatsnotmybaby · 06/04/2019 17:32

Thanks @ememem84, I saw that.
NSD for me today. Frugally, I am really enjoying my library book; I go regularly for children's books and want to start borrowing for myself too instead of spending loads on Kindle books.

ememem84 · 06/04/2019 17:33

I don’t think so wolf (it’s super spendy). My hair (when it’s straight) is about shoulder blade length. Ish.

Unescorted · 06/04/2019 18:04

I am going to sulk.... the thread ate my post. And it had French in and all Sad. Anyhoo… Thanks Cag for the new thread.

life did you get the stern letter too?

Hello Oh

em that will look awesome! I wish I had hair that could do that.

WreckTangled · 06/04/2019 18:06

My hair is too dark for that. It took me two visits and three hours at the hairdressers just to get balayage on my hair when I last had it done!

Dh bought the dc twix's at the shop. Such a waste of money plus they've already eaten more than enough crap today Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/04/2019 18:16

No but there have been lots of cofc references.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 06/04/2019 18:35

Thanks for the new thread cag, great title!
Spends today
Morrison's £7.35
Fruit stall £2.00
Lidl £16.95, also gave the young lad next to me 13p, as he was a bit short and looked a bit worried as to what to do.
I've now got enough food to get us through to next Monday, when I get paid again, phew!

ohhiyouitsme · 06/04/2019 18:55

Does anyone know if I can freeze double cream? The pot says Not suitable for freezing, but it just seems really wasteful to only use half.

Unescorted · 06/04/2019 19:02

If you are going to throw it out give it a try and see what happens.

Wolfcub · 06/04/2019 19:04

Ohitsyou if you’ve got a decent mixer you could make butter out of it but I agree with Unescorted you have nothing to lose. Or you can make scones out of it
