Fluffycloudland77 · 13/08/2018 15:04

Ones enough Cag.

Good luck Em.

Born pretty much yes, add raw veg, water, stock cube and 20 minutes later you have soup. The best thing is that it's the sort of thing people buy on a whim then eBay when their bored of it.

£1.10 dried butter beans. Do not buy Asda dried pulses the bags look 500g but weigh 375g.

£1 apples
£10 petrol.

It's the sainsburys tu 25% off tom, the 5 x nectar points on the app is valid until September.

Cagliostro · 13/08/2018 15:16

I have a soup maker my mum gave me, it is great. Only effort needed is chopping the veg really, and it keeps the soup warm after cooking.

Cagliostro · 13/08/2018 15:19

I finally finally set up broadband. Will have to switch in 18 months. Never done that before!

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 15:28

oh exciting em .. fingers crossed for you .

I have just spent £12 in the pet shop on a cat tray , litter scoop , various disinfectants suitable for cat boxes . Dcat who has diabetes , is now spending more time indoors .. and last night peed (for the first time ever in his 14yrs I may add) , on a pile of clean washing ..(luckily it wasnt a big pie and only towels i use t clean floors / up after Dcat etc ). he did get nose rubbed in it and booted out though..

SnugglySnerd · 13/08/2018 15:42

Ooh! Exciting Em and Cag!

Just let DD choose some things in Hobby Craft. Didn't spend much but we could have done. Why did I introduce her to that shop? She was so excited by it!

Loveabaconsandwich · 13/08/2018 15:57

Exciting times em and cag. I really hope this house is the one em!

Hope the mediation for your friend went ok scandi

£18 B&M
£1 and £7 in Tesco
£5.70 cinema ticket (I had a free adult ticket)

Lovely time with DD1 at the cinema. We took our own snacks so not too pricey.

Trying this week to do an eat from the freezer, plus fresh fruit and veg week to save some ££s

Loveabaconsandwich · 13/08/2018 16:02

I quite fancy a soup maker once DP has put in the extra shelves in the kitchen cupboard. I might hint that I would like one for Christmas

Bornlazy · 13/08/2018 16:13

Had a look at soup makers and now I really want one 😆 If I have enough money left at the end of the month then I am buying one.

Cag that’s great - well done Cagletini!

em good luck with the offer.

Had a really lazy day today as feel a bit out of sorts. Have a horrible heavy feeling in my head, hope I’m not taking the cold.

Bornlazy · 13/08/2018 16:17

Laska do you think he maybe smelled himself off the towels and that’s why he peed there? In a way he was quite clever doing it there and not on your bed or carpet although obviously would have been cleverer to go outdoors... I think they recommend getting a litter tray for older cats anyway as they don’t always want to go out in bad weather.

Laska5772 · 13/08/2018 16:31

born , they were clean towels which i have used to rub him down with when hes come in soaked from the rain , and recently when hes been having accidents on the way to vets (old T towels so no biggie), but maybe he did 'recognise' them as being his .. But obviously we dont want him peeing in the house .. hes not incontinent though

SnugglySnerd · 13/08/2018 16:32

Yes our cat is old and has a litter tray as he can't be bothered going out much. Especially if it's raining.

Flappyjack · 13/08/2018 17:13

em and cag lovely, exciting day for you both.

We've spent the afternoon in the garden so a cheap day overall. I've done a fair bit of cleaning while simulanteouly playing 'shooting guns'with sticks. Food shopping has gone down very fast...growing kids, hollow legs and all that.

Soup makers sound awesome but I will probably stick with my hand blender. Kitchen goods are my spending weakness. I have been talking myself out of a breadmaker for 6 months now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/08/2018 17:18

How exciting em and cag.

I cuddled an 7 week old baby today. She fell asleep on me so i obvs had to stay. Mum was fine with the company.

Done spend today but I forget exactly. £6 boys in points, £11 Wilko's, it's been a slime factory in my kitchen today

CurlsandCurves · 13/08/2018 17:18

Yay baby cag!

em great news re the house!

I had a mammoth 2 hour phone/ online appointment with the bank today, and the extra borrowing has been approved. I’m mentally exhausted now, they don’t half dig down into your finances, specially when you’re self employed like us! He even queried my Specsavers direct debit for my contact lenses, in case it was finance agreement I did not declared!

But it’s all going through now finally. Had a friend and her dd over for a catch up, dd is 20 months old and utterly adorable.

So now after 2 hours on the phone and another 2 hours with my friend I’m all talked out! I’m the type of person that needs time alone to recharge, so I’m really feeling it right now. Going to head out for a walk to clear my head, I need space and alone time.

Fluffycloudland77 · 13/08/2018 18:08

Laska Not really though? if his sugars high he is more prone to UTI and cats like something soft to wee on if their sore. Mine does it literally right in front of us when he has one

Well done Curls, I cant remember if you were debt consolidating or freeing up extra income every month?

Wolfcub · 13/08/2018 18:09

Em that’s great news. Fingers crossed.
Life I love cuddling sleepy babies
Curls great news
Scandi hope the mediation went well
Unescorted that’s annoying about the pattern
NSD - first for some time. Must stay on Amazon

Wolfcub · 13/08/2018 18:10

Off amazon, off! See even spell check is trying to trip me up

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/08/2018 18:31

She is very cute when she is asleep, she is a screamer when shes awake- they both are very cute but so different (none identical but still.

Cagliostro · 13/08/2018 18:31

I feel a bit guilty now that I’m not massively excited Blush curse of the third baby :o the Caglets are super proud though which makes me happy. Especially DD1 as it was towards her that the step was taken! While she screamed. But hey ho. I don’t think she will properly walk for a good while though, crawling is faster. :o

I’m getting one of those prepaid MasterCard things for joining up to the broadband deal. Will use it for house stuff.

Cagliostro · 13/08/2018 18:34

To clarify, it was the baby who screamed not DD1!

I have walked to the local to use the WiFi. Cagletini fell asleep so I stuck her in the buggy and walked here. Such a treat being on the iPad rather than crappy phone. I’ll go back soon though before she wakes up.

ScandiLady · 13/08/2018 18:42

So mediation was crap and worked out to absolutely nada agreement between them. I had to step in a couple of times where he made it all about woohoo poor me and painting my friend to be an ass...
They need 3 rounds of mediation before it goes to court.
I'm completely exhausted now. And price myself lucky for a stable marriage.

ScandiLady · 13/08/2018 18:45

cag well done to the baby for its first step. How old is it and sorry but not sure of the gender.

QuiteCleanBanditlovesdresses · 13/08/2018 18:51

Increased urination is one of the signs of diabetes.
Cats really are usually very clean animals and Im sure weeing in the "wrong place"wasnt purposeful. Good that he has a tray .

It has poured down today, did boring jobs and collected boring but necessary things I had ordered like cooker spare parts .

em sorry about the coffee but woohoo for the new house 🎈🎉🎊🎁🎄.
How exciting and being a cash buyer is a fantastic position to be in !!

Read something really interesting on the 67K debt thread .
About buying overbuying "relaxing" stuff like various crafts, yarn , candles,books,blankets/throws etc but in place of actually relaxing and having time to do it or sit down.
So so true GUILTY and I think Lonely would agree its a "thing"
So Im only allowing myself yarn on birthday/Christmas or Drops sale (40%off)
Next sale is end of year ,usually alpaca .
In the meantime Im carving out time daily to knit Smile read or watch something .
