I’ve wormed our cat today as well, bad day for cats.

£8 advocate. It didn’t go well. Obviously cold fluid on the scruff is a well known method of cat murder.

£2 contact lens fluid. It’s nearly £4 in Sainsburys.

I’ve pmd need but I’m fearing the worst now. I’ve opened a bottle of wine to calm myself. It’s what she would want. It really is.

Meadow is missing too and hopefully she and the baby are ok.

WreckTangled · 04/04/2018 18:17

Ds still has a temperature. Day five now. At least he slept last night (13 hours) still fell asleep in the car earlier.

Really hope need and meadow are ok. Maybe they just have more interesting lives than us Grin

ememem84 · 04/04/2018 18:20

That must be in wreck

fluffy catface is my friend again she’s on the couch next to me.

QuiteCleanBandit · 04/04/2018 18:30

Hope needis ok Flowers

Cat pedicures em Confused
I have owned cats for 40 ish years and none of mine have ever had a pedi .
Is it an indoor cat thing?

Mushroom Stroganoff for dinner with lots of veggies.
I like Daal /Dahl but it has to be with lots of other bits .I cant eat a big bowl of pulses 💨 Blush

Fluffycloudland77 · 04/04/2018 18:35

How can life get more exciting than a worming the cat & a trip to Wickes?.

‘‘Tis impossible.

ChristmasSeacow · 04/04/2018 18:38

I am hoping Meadow did get to go on that holiday and maybe that’s why she’s give quiet (though I fear bad news about DGPig too 😕). Hopefully she’ll be back soon.

I am worried about Need though. And I miss her!

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/04/2018 18:44

Rock and roll is the life of a frugaleer.
I'm going to fold some washing in a minute.

Nsd today. Lots to be spent tomorrow and Friday.

ememem84 · 04/04/2018 18:47

quite I say pedicure, I mean nails clipped. Her claws were long sharp and driving every one crazy. She doesn’t like scratching anything (other than our couch).

Unescorted · 04/04/2018 18:55

lonely & sunny plastering is like icing a cake. A very large cake. Prep the wall with 1:5 upvc glue:water mix. Leave it to dry overnight (crumb coat). Make up more plaster than you think you need (you don't want to run out of buttercream half way through) Tosh it on generously and get it fairly smooth.... Leave it to go off for 10 - 15 minutes. Then wet the float and use it to smooth the surface...it is easiest if you hold it at as near to flat as possible against the wall (you will find that it will try to suck into the wall) Use the whole arm to sweep in an arc from left to right if you are right handed, gradually lifting up at the end of each sweep. Start in the top left corner and work across. You tube have some handy videos.

Another walking day today... 5 miles in the pissy rain. Being on the hills has the advantage of there being no shops.

Are need & meadow still missing? People who have real lives eh?

Wolfcub · 04/04/2018 19:01

Unescorted I spent the last hour thinking I was sat next to you on the train. I was very disappointed when not-you got off at Peterborough I kept looking at the thread obviously hoping not you might put yourself Easter Grin

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/04/2018 19:06

That's amazing that you can do plastering too lonely. You really know your stuff.

I bet need's gone on a Caribbean cruise or something equally glamorous, and just forgotten to mention.

Thats exactly how I do it unescorted I quite like the theraputic quality of plastering. Taking 100 year old plaster down to brick is going to be hideous though. I hope it comes off in big chunks, it is threatening to fall off, so needs must.

My cat has several thick old curly nails which we clip sometimes. The rest are still like needles though.

Scavenged a fry up type tea for the dc, made savoury pancakes, like big scotch pancakes with wholemeal flour. Tea planned for next few days...
Thursday, prawn tagliatelle with spicy tomato sauce,
Friday, slow cook sweet and sour ribs, fried rice.
Saturday, homemade pizza.
Sunday, roast chicken.
This will empty the meat from the freezers. Then I will shop next monday to a new meal plan.

I wish I'd been brave enough to ask need to follow her on strava. As whatever she's up to, I bet she's still running.

Have just found the 'throw something everyday' thread. Will get through it before I join. It's just what I need. You are funny em, how did dh sneak a flouro hoody in?

QuiteCleanBandit · 04/04/2018 19:16

Mine have a huge cat tower with a scratchy thing and they do a really exaggerated scratch in the mornings followed by a streeeeetch .
In the evenings they examine their claws one by one and chew them.Grin
Cats are wierd.

ememem84 · 04/04/2018 19:17

lonely he orders from asos. He use some my account so I get more points. I don’t check. I’m not one of those “you can’t wear that” wives, because if I was it’s give him free rein to be one of those “you can’t wear that” husbands.

It has gone though. Wink

SunnyLikeThursday · 04/04/2018 19:27

I'm wearing a jumper and jeans again now. I got hilariously wet this afternoon going for a pub lunch and coming home beautifully dressed in the monsoon rain. Smile

wolf not me near Peterborough. I am intrigued why you thought they were me.

Lonely sorry that was a bit explainy. The plasterers on one of my sites spent an unproductive couple of hours trying to teach me the basics. There was much laughter at how awful I was....but you are right once you get the rhythm it is very relaxing. They now send me pictures of cakes they have iced....

Wolfcub · 04/04/2018 19:51

Unescorted I think because she seemed like she worked for your organisation, very together and very senior which is how I imagine you to be and she was travelling up country. She was also very nice. I’d sort of imagined not-you getting off at Donny and making your way home from there

Laska5772 · 04/04/2018 19:55

I pmd Need a couple of weeks ago now. but she has to fire up her laptop to see messages..
I hope all is OK ,she did mention her Dh was quite low.. if he is ill , shes probably got her hands full with the business.

Unescorted · 04/04/2018 20:43

wolf thanks. I'll take that - although I don't feel together 😀
Laska she did say it was their year end. So you may be right.
Cag I admire your bravery taking a semi feral cat to the vets.

I cried. DH cried. She. Was. Amazing.

She is normally the super nervous one but she was the epitome of grace (where the heck she got that from I have no idea) and she looked completely gorgeous and so grown up ❤️

ememem84 · 04/04/2018 21:16

⬆️ Proud smug mama alert right there cag

So glad it went well xx

Cagliostro · 04/04/2018 21:22

Damn right 😂😍 she has to work so hard just to appear dare I say ‘normal’, she is not a naturally confident kid at all so this felt like such a huge breakthrough. Thus, I have all the feels ❤️😳

Unescorted · 04/04/2018 22:10

Awwcag it is great when they go out and confound your expectations.

AdoraBell · 04/04/2018 22:11
