I know what you mean about feeling lost LittleHen. Definitely pull up a chair and join us here. This is the place, especially in the wee small hours, in the middle of winter, when a bit of company really hits the spot.

Cute babies Cag and Em!

ememem84 · 31/03/2018 16:13

DH has gone out. I’ve hoovered and sorted laundry. Now in/on bed (on bed under a blanket) with ds. He’s wiggling about and pretending to nap I’m watching criminal minds on amazon and eating chilli Doritos.

ememem84 · 31/03/2018 16:50

An asos order arrived. Sparkly pointed toe flats, a pair of metallic tipped espadrilles and a green midi full skirt. Annoyingly skirt makes me look fatridiculously out of proportion so it’s going back.

Shoes however...those are keepers.

Wigwigeconomist · 31/03/2018 17:01

Sorry everyone for disappearing, super busy with finance planning again and children

laska seacow fluffy laska
No previous form for hiding
But it's approx £7000 Sad
He mentioned casually he had one yesterday that was interest free but needed clearing by dec 2019
Then he got cagey when I asked what was on...
Essentially he'd taken money out to put on bitcoin (which he thought would be a good investment but he finds me overly cautious when it comes to finances and was worried I'd say it wasn't sensible-correct)
He's got carried away
Plan is he will do extra shifts at work to pay it off but it is so incredibly infuriating-as I don't want to change the plans I've already made

Welcome littlehen

Wigwigeconomist · 31/03/2018 17:03

Not all on bitcoin
Some Christmas and holiday spending too that I thought was on debit
Only recently have we agreed I take control of family finances -previously him but we were waiting for each monthly pay cheque when we didn't have to be in that position so I suggested I do all the overview/savings/management and see how we get on

Wigwigeconomist · 31/03/2018 17:05

The other option is to take it out off bitcoin but it's already lost money on that platform and he thinks giving it more time until we break even again would be reasonable

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2018 17:22

If you read any books on stock trading etc they always say to sell losing positions swiftly, rather than hang on & see it tumble in value.

If he loses the lot it will be a bitter pill to swallow.

AdoraBell · 31/03/2018 17:25

£15 in Sainsbo’s, £6 in bakers.

Super cute babies 😁.

Shock credit card for bitcoin? I would not be happy. Has he cut the cards up now?

Wigwigeconomist · 31/03/2018 17:35

Really fluffy i didn't know that, yes it would be an incredibly bitter pill to swallow Confused

I have cut the card already
We still need a credit card for holiday/flight bookings etc so I think we will just get one in my name and have no others ...and make sure it doesn't have a ridiculous limit on it either

Wigwigeconomist · 31/03/2018 17:36

Just spotted baby pics, they are super cute Smile

AdoraBell · 31/03/2018 18:05

And no additional card holder either. I know it sounds controlling, but it sounds like there needs to be control over spending.

Cagliostro · 31/03/2018 18:20

Eeee that little face em 😍 and do I spot the raccoon jumper? I can’t believe how much the baby frugaleers have grown since we posted newborn pics 5-6 months ago 😭😭

We are deciding what to do about high chairs. We have so little space and the ‘footprint’ of a normal highchair will take up so much room. But we would like a proper one long term. So I’m thinking we may get a Chicco Pocket Snack folding one for now as it can go on one of our chairs, they are very popular on the BLW group I'm on. Then when we move we will get a proper one and I can keep the folding one at mum’s.

I don’t really understand the whole bitcoin thing but either way a surprise £7k is awful, so sorry :(

Laska5772 · 31/03/2018 18:56

Super cute babies !!

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2018 19:12

They do look happy babies.

Easter Bunny’s been. I got Chablis, Dh got a huge egg and two bags of mini eggs.

It says a lot about my housekeeping skills that he hid it under our sofa.

Laska5772 · 31/03/2018 19:25

we are back from seeing DM and DSF. Mum is ok , she has oedema which is causing her problems because of the failing heart and kidneys and is very frail and unsteady on her feet , but is a lot better expected her to be.. but yes, she definitely does seem to be fading ..

However she was able to sit an chat and so we had a nice time . she also ate a good lunch , fish and chips . So despite the fact she is just old (93) now and its sad to see, it was a nice day.. she is even talking of coming over when the weather is better so who knows?

DSF is a lot better than i thought he would be , he said to me that he knows the inevitable is coming.. so at least is acknowledging that.. he is about 7 yrs younger than DM , and still really healthy but of course does get down and sad.. ..

Laska5772 · 31/03/2018 19:28

and thanks for all your kind Wishes , we hope she will be with us for a while yet, but yes, sad times ahead.. .

Audit enjoy your holiday.. your DM would really want you to.

ememem84 · 31/03/2018 19:36

Yes cag the raccoon jumper still fits. We’re in that transition phase so he’s wearing 3-6 and 6-9 clothes.

SunnyLikeThursday · 31/03/2018 19:42

Cag with hindsight I slightly wished I'd got one of these:

www.ikea.com/gb/en/products/chairs-stools-benches/high-chairs/antilop-highchair-with-tray-white-silver-colour-spr-29067293/

They seemed to work just as well as the huge affair that took up most of our kitchen for years, and could be folded down to nothing.

OP posts:
Cagliostro · 31/03/2018 19:50

Ooh yes am considering that one! I saw on FB recently that the tray can go straight in the dishwasher! Which we will have at some point. So when we go to ikea during the moving house phase, we may well get one. That said I do slightly lust after one of those stokke wooden ones... 😳

DH has just gone home taking our dirty clothes with him. Poor sod working again tomorrow, better pay though I suppose. And TBF we aren’t religious so easter isn’t a big deal. Need to put together an egg hunt tonight though. Might do something with the Caglets tomorrow as they got really stir crazy being stuck indoors yesterday

Fluffycloudland77 · 31/03/2018 19:59

Dw safe always wins out.

MrsOH2004 · 31/03/2018 20:15

No the word is not bacon Grin
If you press the F and then the C it sounds like Fu Cer, naughty Peppa Grin

ChristmasSeacow · 31/03/2018 20:15

Wig ouch. I don’t know anything about bitcoins either but I would be furious about using creams it to essentially gamble. Sounds as though he has the potential to earn some extra though, so that’s something.

Cute babies, aren’t they getting big?!

Cag we have a Stokke high chair well 2 actually Blush though one was a hand me down and of all the silly expensive things I bought for pfb that was the best investment by far. Expensive but really worth it for us. It doesn’t come with a tray as standard but we’ve always had the babies at the dining table anyway.

ChristmasSeacow · 31/03/2018 20:21

Oops, posted too soon!

Anyway, they have a really small footprint and last so well - DS is 5 and still uses his, now adjusted as a chair. It’s the one expensive baby thing I would buy again.

I’ve just been a little short with an RSPCA chugger who has just rung our doorbell. I explained that we are putting children to bed and it’s a bank holiday weekend - I really feel ringing the doorbell at 8.15pm is a bit off Hmm. Poor girl is only doing her job but...

Nice togs mini-Cag Easter Wink
