Girlie my twins get stomach aches and one gets really anxious about comp, you worry yourself silly over them don't you?
Hope all works out for you. Just been to shop for a top up shop for weekend before work, £18.67....but should be NSD now until Tuesday. Some year 11 boy snatched my year 7 twins water bottle and smashed it at school yesterday, she bough it out of her Christmas money from new look and was gutted bless her, DH is going to get her a new one, kids can be horrid sometimes. .she wouldn't say boo to a goose bless her. The other twin would have had a go back so I'm glad it wasn't herGrin

mammymammyIRL · 12/01/2018 09:14

Woohoo just checked in on Irish Opinions dashboard for a survey following cag's mention of hers and found a survey which brought me up to €10, so now have a boots voucher on the way for some foundation. There's more choice of vouchers there now too including iTunes, TK Maxx and Debenhams as well as the existing ones of Eason's, Tesco, World Vision and Charity Donation, there's also HomeSense but I don't think they're in Ireland.

Tidied up my YNAB with Christmas spends too, well reconciled my purse finally -almost €500 of a difference eeek- and must enter my receipts when I get a chance. Car in garage now and will get tyres next week and then whatever's left in account on Wed eve, eve of payday, will be transferred to creditcard. This is going to standard Wed eve job from now on. Project pay down credit cards is priority #1 this year.

Anxious to know if a company has refunded almost €200 to one of my cc so waiting on a live chat representative to become available there. They also refunded the overlimit/late payment fees that were wrongly charged to me, all it took was a short email. Anyone who is charged them, please appeal it costs nothing.

Dh spent €36.21 on top up shop yesterday, to make food for our neighbours who had tragedy in the family. Will call this evening with provisions.

End of a long first week back wreck

frazzled well done, getting rid of my overdraft was one of the best things I ever did.

polly that's horrible and way more hurtful to your dd when she'd bought it out of her own money. Kids -brats-

Laska5772 · 12/01/2018 10:16

SorryMissA
Em I was alone with Ds right from the start .so I cant really help except to say youll cope because you just do.. Ive been really admiring your DH for being so involved and how youve got him to do whole nights etc. actually, but times change... sadly Ds F was not at all interested and had left us by the time he was 2 weeks old .. (best thing he ever did!!)
£48 on diesel this morning was running pn fumes.. its 12 miles to nearest petrol station( which doesnt charge a fing fourtune_ rural garages, aargh! ) Im usually much better at remembering to fill up.

mammymammyIRL · 12/01/2018 10:48

Having a good frugal morning. They're doing a clearout at work of out of date plasters and bandages and saline solution so my first aid kit is going to get a boost FOC Grin

Laska5772 · 12/01/2018 11:19

Miffed about Diesel cars now being so villified. I can understand its new research into particulates but we were all sold them as being cleaner ony a couple of years ago. Ours is 3 years old but now i suppose pretty worthless.. we dontt even have to pay car tax on it because of its low emissions ffs! They dont make petrol or electric motorhomes so dont know how they will get around that or lorries either.. ill just have to go on killing small children (according to some MN threads) then..Hmm

mammymammyIRL · 12/01/2018 11:49

laska This is also a bugbear of mine because when I changed my car mid 2016 I considered electric but the battery life wasn't up to a trip to my parents almost 3hrs away so I didn't purchase, now they are and I'm not in a position to purchase [grr] I love the ioniq from hyundai!

ememem84 · 12/01/2018 12:15

Estate agent has been signed up. He’s coming back next week to take pics etc.

I had intentions of de cluttering today. So far I’ve ironed bedding. I’ve been up since 6. Ds is super grouchy. He’s trying to put everything in his mouth and is unbelievably dribbly.

I know he’s going through a developmental phase. But suspect maybe teething too.

ememem84 · 12/01/2018 12:16

I suspect he’s fake coughing too. He coughs twice then grins. It doesn’t happen at night when he’s asleep or doesn’t interfere with his feeding. Sigh.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2018 12:17

Ironed bedding?! Shock

ememem84 · 12/01/2018 12:25

I know. I took a picture of it it’s that rare of an occurance. Reason being I need to pack it away. I needed it as small as possible so it’d fit inside pillowcases (per bedding set) and then in a storage box.

mammymammyIRL · 12/01/2018 12:39

I'm always envious of how neat your living area is em mine always has some form of clothes/toys strewn on it Grin

SunnyLikeThursday · 12/01/2018 13:31

Sorry to hear about your daughter's hearing Girlie. We've just recently come out of that with my ds, so I know what you mean exactly. Ds is just getting on his feet in the playground now he has the working ears, but it's still hard as his language hasn't caught up yet. I hope things pick up for your dd when she is using her hearing aids.

I'm getting hopelessly behind in reading the thread again. I'm doing everything at home now as dh is so busy with his new job and even my science grant thing has fallen by the wayside. I will get back to it soon I think. Need to put my feet up a bit to recover from Christmas.

Loveabaconsandwich · 12/01/2018 13:32

Flowers missA TTC is so hard

Well, there’s not much I can do for my dad right now so back to frugaleering until we get some news

This weekend I am determined to get DD2 out of nappies. She spent all day at nursery nappy free and then put her nappy on when she got home Hmm . She does appear to know what she is doing! Nappies have been hidden away so we can say they have all gone.

We have also cracked her thumb sucking habit by putting a tiny bit of the really vile mavala stuff on her thumb nail. DP put some on my thumb, it was nasty, no wonder she has stopped! She was effecting her teeth with the thumb sucking.

£55 in Tesco

WreckTangled · 12/01/2018 14:37

Both mine are thumb suckers. Dd is 7.5 and I can't get her to stop!

Facial was amazing and included a neck, shoulder and head massage. £45 but had !20 voucher.

Ok em I forgive you Wink especially as the photo had cute ds in it.

WreckTangled · 12/01/2018 14:45

Argh my crown just fell out 😭😭😭 my dentist closed at 1:30 Hmm

FridgeCut · 12/01/2018 14:48

I haven't had any beauty treatments in so long. I think I might treat myself when I lose half a stone. I need to get focussed on losing some weight as I have pre-op for my hip surgery in four weeks and really want to be in the healthy weight range for then. I don't know how much weight I have gained over Christmas but it won't be pretty!!

Bought some period pants as I leaked over my mooncup last night, hopefully that will help next month. I am aiming to stop buying any disposable liners / pads.

£46 ocado shop coming later, will give back the bags that should get it down to £45.

Cagliostro · 12/01/2018 14:51

Aah cutest photobomber ever 😍

Oh no wreck 😱

Really pleased as we've been going through the Caglets' clothes, and so far DD doesn't need anything new (other than underwear but I already knew that) as she still has plenty! DS next... Will there be any trousers left without holes though...

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 12/01/2018 14:59

I need to get down with the moon cup. I'm a bit scared to try it though.

Oh know cag I have nightmares about my teeth falling out and then this happens! Dh is going to the chemist to get me a repair kit hopefully when I get to the dentist next week it won't need replacing as they're expensive.

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/01/2018 15:08

£2.80 on an Apricot Kernal Shampoo bar (trial size) Free p&p
Coming to the end of my Lush one so trying SLS free .
Are you storing stuff em?
Next time we move Im going to get a storage unit and go through everything we own so its all pared down but also we can decorate and have a spotless house fir viewings.
Oh no ! Poor you Wreck
Are crowns meant to fall out Confused

Cagliostro · 12/01/2018 15:13

Yessss DS still has enough trousers. Win. Probably less joggers than he'd like but he has jeans too. So no need to buy anything for either of them at the moment, other than underwear/bra type thing for DD. YAY!

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 12/01/2018 15:13

I don't think so Hmm but it seems a common problem according to google.

QuiteCleanBandit · 12/01/2018 15:24

Really !?
I hope they dont expect you to pay .

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/01/2018 15:33

Depends on the dentist according to my mum. She has a crown.

If you want to reduce sanitary expenses get an implant Grin two bleeds since July 👊 & no pain. Dh says my pmt has stopped too.

Frazzeled3ds Email the CEO of your bank & complain about that overdraft charge. It sounds all kind of wrong. I got £125 off Lloyds when they didn't shut my account properly and I had charges mounting up plus they cancelled the charges.

Diesel
Manufacturing issue, not your fault. Plus they faked emissions tests. Meh. It'll be something else soon.

NSD.

There's an offer on the nectar app, buy a daily mail, link your mymail account to nectar & get 1000 points. I'll do mine Monday as it's cheaper than a w/e paper.

ememem84 · 12/01/2018 16:15

I’ve asked for quotes for storage lockers. So we can store things. I’ve boxed things up and it’s all neatly stored in our huge cupboard.

Over lisyed my old riding hat on Facebook and have listed a few bits on eBay. Woop

Super grateful to Dm. She came round and dealt with ds while I got myself wedged in the cupboard.

mammymammyIRL · 12/01/2018 16:21

wreck I was 12 when I stopped sucking my thumb and it didn't affect my speech or my teeth. Actually when I said at 12 I wasn't going to suck it anymore no one believed me Grin
